Well this discussion is about favorite commercials that we remember. Going back to the 70's there were the Alka Seltzer ones, "I can't believe I ate that whole thing", Wendy's, "where's the beef", the Easy Off oven cleaner one that played for years and years and years, etc. Then there were all the great Coke and McDonald's commercials over the years. Recently there were the Ford commercials using American Idol contestants. My favorite right now is the Geico one where Mrs. Butterworth is a celebrity spokesperson for a a woman who had an accident. What are your favorites?

Hey Dawn, I love that Geico one too. In fact I like most of those with the celebrity spokesperson helping the accident victims. Joan Rivers is a hoot on one. Do you remember "It's not nice to fool mother nature!"?.......How about "It's time to make the donuts"(Dunkin' Donuts)..........at Christmastime they always ran the Little Santa on the Remington shaver gliding over the snowy hills........ And of course, the original "My bologna has a first name...." with that cute little curly haired kid.......... how about the one with the guy shaving in the mirror (can't remember what the product is) and there's another guy's face looking back at him "Hey, you Mona's kid?".............the tidy bowl man in the little boat in the toilet tank........... "Don't squeeze the Charmin".........

Oooh I remember most of those. Do you remember the alternate Oscar Meyer wiener one? The regular one went: Oh I wish I were an Oscar Meyer wiener... The alternate went: Oh I'm glad I'm not an Oscar Meyer wiener. That is what I'm never gonna be. For if I were an Oscar Meyer wiener There would soon be nothing left of me. I thought it was cute but maybe it got pulled because somebody thought it was negative. :-(

Quite frankly, since we are from different countries, neither of us will understand each others commercials. There are quite a few that I know of that I liked and like, and some that are so boring...

Well if you were to tell me about one, I probably wouldn't know what you were talking about, true. But friends do sometimes e-mail me videos of commercials from other countries. Some of them are a real hoot! That's one of the nice things about YouTube!

I love those old commercials...the Hey, Koolaid was one of my favorites. I used to watch NickatNite just to see them but now I've found out their on youtube.com and I can watch them all the time. It is neat too, to see how much our commercials have changed. ~~IN SEARCH OF PEACE WITHIN~~ **AGAINST THE STORMS, I WILL STAND STRONG**

One of my older ones was the California Raisins commercial, There was about 4-5 raisins singing and dancing around. My newer commercial is the one about Free Credit Report.com. Where this guy is always singing and he has two of his friends backing him up. I like all of those commercials.

Yeah, imagine that. If I hadn't ordered a free credit report, I would probably be living in my in-laws' basement. lol

They do have some pretty spectacular ones during the Super Bowl, but the ones that stick in my mind, mostly, are the funny ones!
