Which is important?

Rich or happy, the two are not mutually exclusive. I have tried being poor and it sucks. Why cannot I be rich and happy at the same time. Quite frankly if you are a miserable person you will be miserable even if you are rich, wealth rarely changes your core personality, however wealth certainly smooths over a lot of life's little bumps, and some big ones.

Hi I think it's very difficult to say something specific. Do you have the answer? I guess no. Because, money is essential to survive. If one doen't survive, there is no question of happiness. Conversely, money can't buy happiness. So my honest answer will be I prefer to be happy at the same time rich just enough which will allow me to survive not under trying conditions. I know my answer isn't clear because i don't think I have a clear answer at all considering the reality of life which I have seen for 60 years.

I'd rather be happy than be just rich and unhappy. And by that, I mean really rich - not an average person. Frankly I prefer to be middle class and happy because being poor, you will have a lot of obstacles to face and facing struggles everyday will not be a peaceful life. So, I would like to be middle class - not rich, not poor but be happy.

it is really important to be happy in life, if we have lots of money too and dont have happiness then all money becomes an utter waste. i know money is really important in life as everything we need, our requirements are all met only from money. all things our basic requirements food ,clothing and shelter all need money but happiness is the one which cant be got from money but money buys few of the things in life which we require and make us happy. so i thing money and happiness are interdependent , if one is missing too we land up up in struggle and be unhappy and hence in life we both, we need money to lead our life and everything we need to be happy.

Well, if I were rich, I wouldn't have to spend so much time trying to find a better job, and/or I could quit working altogether! I could always afford everything I both want and need! I would be free to do whatever I want, which would make me happy! *LOL* :)

hmm... money.. think about all the things u can buy!! all the opportunities that will open up for u!! lol.. who says u can't be rich AND happy? u don't have to go all nouveau riche about it.. keep ur wealth low key and u won't have to stress about it too much. this question is abit redundant because if ur rich, no matter how u look at it, u can somehow figure out something with that money to make u happy. but if ur talking about being rich and lonely, then i'd choose happiness anytime. It is important to have optimism and motivation in life. It can drive u to live life to the fullest. However, happiness can be a very fragile, fleeting thing. it depends alot on ur state of mind. So if ur someone who prefers to rely on something more secure and substantial, then being rich is the way to go :p

Hi ya Raja_Franklin Honestly? Honestly I would much prefer to be happy. You could be the riches person in the world but still be miserabley unhappy as money can't buy you happiness and if you are happy money won't make that much difference!

Both hahaha ok, I know you'll say just one... but without money it's harder to be happy, and being rich doesn't necessarily make you happy... so, it's a hard question... I would say that I wanna have just enough money to be happy, not too much cause I'll die from stress, but if I don't have any money it's hard for me to be happy... mmm did I answer your question??????

well I would like to be rich because I want my children to be happy and to be able to afford things for them sooo yeah
