Are you asking about bad MLM companies or MLM as a whole?

I agree there are abuses and lies about network marketing that lead people to get involved for the wrong reasons. Does that mean it's not a valid method of distributing products and services?

You can't exactly say its valid or invalid?? it depends on the company u r lookin on .... many states have banned MLM(not exactly MLM) in there country ex:china ,australia , canada, i think USA also. They have banned the comapnies which work on th e pyramid scheme & today 90% of the MLM comapnies work on the pyramid scheme.... some countries have banned but it is still going well in our country

Some people get filthy rich off of MLM's, most do okay, others fail miserably. It depends on the MLM you choose, the support you have, and the commission structure they have in place. The best thing to watch out for is how the companies make their money. If they make their money selling real products they are more trustworthy. If they make their money selling marketing materials to the reps then they are more of a pyramid scheme. For more info you can read here: http://www.untroddenroad.com/mlm.html I belong to a couple of MLM's that were free to join. I get a discount on the products and if I make a sale I am happy. If I don't it's all good because I am not paying anything into it nor am I relying on them as my sole source of income. I am not one to pressure friends and loved ones to buy from me, so I sell the products on e-bay or offer them only to people who tell me they are looking for them and I leave it at that. Sometimes I get pleasant surprises and my recruits have made sales and I get a check from that- which is nice. So they are not all bad!

It doesn't depend on the company... it depends on you. You investigate and find a legitimate opportunity. You learn and do what it takes to be successful. As William Shakespeare said, "The fault, dear Brutus, lies not within our stars, but within ourselves". Think about that!

MLM such as a - phyramid scheme. Company actually used people to be regular customer. From that they have no worries to find customer. The money you get from joining the MLM company is actually return to the company. Without finding new customer (regular customer) to the company you got no money to earn and you have to pay your money own your own. Thank you

agreed! btw.. MLM is worst. What happen if the company everybody was joining then.. at last nobody want to join the company. What will happen to the last person?

In a legitimate network marketing company the very last person in, would earn income by retailing products or services to his network of friends and aquaintances. That's the difference between network marketing and an illegal pyramid scheme.

er.. this is happen to someone who able try to join MLM marketing. At last each month they have to spend bout upto hundred dollars. Btw, the return is nothing. Used the product. Nowadays a lot of company selling e-book and simply give 5% each month. No need to pay for the product for the next month. yah this one is better. But in world of business it is hard to sales softcopy to customer.
