I never have anyone whom I consider a friend coming from a different generation. I always end up treating them as my mother or someone I respect so much. I'm not saying that I am not supposed to respect friends but you know, friendships doesn't have restrictions at all.
Is it possible to consider someone your friend even if he's across generations?

I happens but it rare, actually people get along well with their generation, feel comfortable with these people and can relate with them well. Other generation some how is quite difficult to deal with since they is normally some kind of respect that normally exist automatically, freindship is also being influenced by perception that we have in generation.

why not? in fact, its great to have friends across generations.. with elders, you get to learn more about life. with younger ones, you get to reminisce about your youth, and even get to enjoy life with them.

Absolutely! Somebody younger than me, I can get energy and learn new things like technology, culture etc. People older than me, I get wisdom, advice, and great stories! I think respect is a cornerstone of friendships and a desire to spend time with is needed.
