YUCK! ROACHES!!! Do you get disgusted as I was when they're in your food?

Earlier today on 10/24/2008, I was about to fix myself a bowl of Waffle Crisp cereal, and since I have a new carton of milk, I thought of having some right away. I poured in the cereal in the bowl, and then poured the milk in there. But just before I could take a bite of that sweet cereal, I went "WTF?!" as I saw dead roaches in there!
I didn't have any milk for a while, and the roaches probably found a way inside the cereal that time. Anyway, I was so disgusted (shudders) that I threw the contaminated milk down the drain, and the cereal in the trash. When I opened up the box and poured out the bag inside, it even had a live cockroach inside! (another shudder)
I threw away all of the messed-up cereal into the trash as well; and i'm rather feeling lucky I didn't eat it at all. Just imagine the nasty horror of eating dead cockroaches in my cereal. I'd hurl instantly! YUCK!!!
If you're living in a house infested with as much cockroaches as mine is, how would you feel if they got into your food?

Years ago I lived in a house that was infested with the little demons...so much that everytime you'd turn on the stove they'd come down the walls. You had to cover everything b/c they'd jump right in the food. It was pretty nasty. We didn't have any for a long time but then the neighbors moved out and I guess they came to our house looking for food. We eventually used flea bombs all through the house and managed to get rid of them. Thankfully Hubby and I don't have any where we live...we're lucky enough to have a bug man that comes in every other month.

Whew. That's a relief. They must've gotten to you and your husband's last nerve to resort to the bombs to kill them.
I'm glad that you've won the battle against them suckers.

Actually, even though the cereal bag's all rolled up, they still found a way to get in. It was already opened. But still, it is really gross too look at.

I would feel the same, thinking of a cockroach inside the food is so gross. I hate cockroaches. I didnt like any of these pest inside our house. I never had a problem with cockroach though but one of those pest that i dont like are flies. Everytime a flies get inside the house i wont be at peace at all without killing it. It is the most disgusting and gross pest and i dont know why how could they get inside our house. No matter how careful i am and even close the door and never leave it open there are times that they these pest get inside the house which pisses me off.

Cockroaches are one thing, but flies? Just as worse as they can fly up to your ear, and you'd have to smack them off or swat them away. Cursed flies are harder to kill because of their flying ability, and it makes killing them harder because if you try to spray them, they'll fly away one second later. Even with a flyswatter, you'd have to be as fast as a ninja to splat them.

You and me both. I'd throw the food away if a cockroach ever crawled all over it in a split second. I'd also drink water, but in bottled form. Roaches can't drink bottled water, nor can they get inside it.

that's really gross. i don't think that i can still eat if i see some roaches in my food. it loses your apetite plus, thinking that you might get sick because of the germs on it makes you wanna throw up. i really hate roaches. those that run around the house. what more could be worse than see them in your food? i'd rather eat in a restaurant and spend more than eat in the house where there are lots of roaches. but you know, there are some restaurants that accidentally serve food with some secret ingredient (roaches). i've experienced it once and the restaurant manager offered something as compliment. he said that it never occurred before and that he can assure that it wouldn't happen again.

Well the good thing is that I ordered out some pizza from Domino's to compensate for what happened today. At least there's no roaches inside. All in all, it was a very good compensatory lunch I had.

That's alright. Looks like the USA isn't the only place infested with roaches.
No matter if it's in the United States, the United Kingdom or anywhere else in the world, mankind's got a bit of togetherness in killing these pests. So sorry that your country has them too.
Looks like we're all in the same boat of indoor creepy crawlies, aren't we?

Ewwww... Disgusting! DuoMaxwell, what a nasty surprise you had there! I think I'll gag! Shucks! I hate seeing roaches crawling on the floor all on the walls, imagine my feelings when I see one on my food! I'll go beserk! Arggghhh! I feel bad for you though, roaches are just yucky and you're implying your house is infected by them. Better do something about it quick! Before they attack more of your food. Ewwww!

Thanks though. I'll make sure to clean my plate so that the roaches don't get to my food before I do. They make me shudder just the same.
But then again, who on this planet doesn't get creeped out by them?

Ouch. I know exactly how you feel. We've have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of the little pests in our home and nothing seems to work. You have to keep a close eye at dinner time because they want to crawl right up and help theirself to your food and then you end up throwing an entire dish of food away. The same goes for Water, Juice, and Soda. So aggrivating!

Yeah, a definite waste of good food, and a definite waste of money buying them.
No wonder everyone on Earth hates cockroaches! They're like unwanted neighbors taking a contaminating, nasty bite of your food and drinks.
There's always the idea to wrap food plates in Aluminum foil, or placing them in Ziploc bags so they can't get in at all. Those are what I call "roach shields".

OMG!! That would really freak me out! I hate roaches too. I'm not really scared of them, but I hate how they look especially when their antennae is moving!!! Yuck! I wonder how they got in your box of cereal though? Good thing this has never happened to me because I'd cry if roaches ate my favorite food... It's bad enough that they live under my bathroom sink but if they start messing with my food I really will call an exterminator!

They must've crawled through the gaps of the boxes, or the baby roaches must've grown up inside the cereal box. I don't know how they got in the cereal, but that experience was most disgusting for me.

::mops up the puke on the floor::
Maybe they ought to rename the city "Creepy-Crawly City" because of it. Roach sprays and roach killers would be in hot supply there!

Don't forget to go for the attics and the basements, and don't go in there for 35-45 days! LOL
