I am one of those people who prefers to work alone. That way I can be responsible for the credit or for the mistakes. Most of the "team" experiences I have had have been where the credit is shared equally/ hogged by the wrong person and the criticism is also misplaced. So yes, I give up the "learning experiences" to go solo whenever I can.

True, you are accountable for the things that you have done when you work alone. Sometimes social loafing will occur in a team as well if you have undesirable team members. In some situations, teamwork can contribute to a fun and learning environment in some workplace.

if at work, i would prefer to work as a team. you can learn so many things during brain storming, and by working as a term, it could actually bridge the gap among colleagues.

Maybe for instance the police force, you must have different teams in each division in order to be more effective. Members of team must coordinate with one another to bring out the positive energy to solve a case.

Depends on what activity you're involved in. Reading is something I prefer to do individually LOL. But on a serious note, some activities are best done as a team. But don't let the team hold you back when it comes to taking initiative and thinking out of the box. so actually I prefer both, given the circumstances.
