I took ma trip up Nrth to the farm recently.
Mainly because the cost of gas is lower now than it has been in a long time. It is about 350 miles round trip and I used almost a full tank only. So it was a cheap trip this time around. I also drive more now checking out nature etc due to the low prices.

Because it is all a stupid game, that's why. There is no reason for the prices to be as high as they were. It's not like supply and demand that does it because one day it is one price, one day it is the next.
We need to stop being dependent on that and find other ways so they stop playing these games and make us suffer. It makes everything go sky high. Now, many prices have gone up due to gas. Well gas is down but did THOSE prices go down?

There is a very good reason gasoline went that high. We were willing to pay the high prices and just grumble a little and keep right on paying through the nose. OPEC has been testing us to see just how high we would go without causing them problems. I think they just found that out. I don't know about others but from now on I don't go anywhere unless it is absolutely necessary. I wish a lot more would join me. It's time these jerks learned we are not a bunch of dummies they can treat just any way they want to and get away with it.

Yes, those are the games I was speaking about. OPEC!! PHFFTT!!
I do not drive much anymore. Only to work. If I have errands, I do them to and from work, or have my husband do it on the way to work. He works 5 days, I only one, so I do not get out much. I refuse to pay the gas prices. They can kiss my butt!! LOL

It is $1.89 here in spots in Minnesota as well now.
I can fill up for less than $40 now.
Prior I just put $20 in and got a few gallons only.
I may even make a couple raod trips now as it is cheaper than it's been in eons.

hi bunnybon!
the gas price here in our country has roll backed too. but most of the transportation fare haven't roll backed yet or they probably don't have the plan on decreasing it. Jeepney fares and bus fares have roll backed. but the fare in other transportation haven't. it would be nicer if they would roll down their prices too. and also the price of basic commodities in the market that is affected by oil prices. they should roll down their prices too.

I watch the news on a daily basis so I could say that I'm fully aware about this issue regarding the prices of oil getting cheaper. This is quite good especially for those who have their own cars or vehicles which they use to go to and from a location. This is also great for public utility vehicles who earn their living through this locally.
But personally, I don't have a car and I have no choice but to take the public transport everyday. I just wish that the transportation fares would also go down in the coming days. It has been reported that the fares for jeepneys would decrease by fifty centavos and one peso on buses starting on Tuesday next week (Nov. 4). Unfortunately, I take an fx everyday on my way to the office. I'm not sure if the operators and drivers association of fx will come up with the decision of lowering their rates but I do hope that they would, too.

I Chicago gas was around $3 per gallon. Maybe is going down this weekend.
The reason for the price cut is the global economy. Consumers all over the world had already begun cutting back on their consumption.

Last I heard oil was at $79 dollars a barrel which is a significant difference from a few months ago. A couple of days ago I purchased gasoline for 2.69 per gallon here in Colorado and I think it has gone down some. Even though it is still high it has helped on the pocket book instead of those almost $4 per gallon prices.

yes, that's god news to everyone. even in the Philippines, i think the gas price have reached php65 then now its php47. im glad that prices gone down because i can't go out by bus simply because i have to send my kids to school. they are both asthmatic that's why i can't let them use the public utility vehicle. but i let them try once just for them to experience, so they wouldn't be left behind when their classmates are talking about public transportation.

Hi friend, its really great to hear that gas prices are decreasing and that they are lower than they have been in the past few years. I am really happy about this because cost of living are rising everyday and gas prices definitely plays a part in it, now that gas prices are down, hopefully we are able to cope with the costs of liviing more easily!

Gas prices are going down here daily. I filled up today with gas at $2.23 a gallon. I was thrilled!! However, I don't see how with oil at $64 a barrel that gas can still be over $2.00 a gallon. It is time that we as consumers decide that we are not going to allow Opec to cause us to suffer more. If we just keep not buying as much gas, they will continue to drop the cost of it.

Hi ya bunnybon7
Here in England a few supermarkets that sell gas/petrol have dropped their prices but only by a very small amount and it looks as though it is not going to stay that way as there is already talk of the prices going back up again!

Yes, i'm very glad that gas is going down now. It really should go down especially that there is global crisis. It would be very hard if we are facing global crisis and the gas is very high. God is really good to us. I do hope it will continue decreasing.
happy mylotting

I recently (early August) moved from San Diego, California (where gas prices had risen to about $4.95 per gallon for regular fuel) to downtown Manhattan in New York City, where I ride the train instead of driving a car.
At the time, I was happy, because the prices were ridiculous and showed no signs of coming down.
Now, however, I am kind of sad because I miss my cars and the prices are much lower!
