What is your favorite contemporary music artist and selection? You might need to explain to me who the artist and what kind of music you are talking about.

I don't really listen much to music anymore, I would say I still like the old timers, soul music like smokey robinson and marvin gaye, people like that.

There isn't much contemporary music that I care for. I like quiet uplifting music, whether it is classical or just easy listening. I don't like music that has an attitude.

Lately I have been enjoying music by Goran Karan from Croatia. I'm not interested in typical contemporary music in English. I prefer listening to music from around the world. The stuff I managed to find on line is from around 2004. It's really good. You should look up his stuff on Youtube.

I have always liked Broadway music. Many of my favorites were later made into movies. South Pacific, West Side Story and My Fair Lady are some of my favorites. I could almost sing (if only I could) all the songs and could imagine myself playing all the parts.
