Which camrea are you planning to buy soon?

I'm a point and shoot person, though lately im eyeing the dslr...hopefully when i have the budget. Two weeks ago, I bought the canon ixus 870 IS, and so far I'm loving the pics ive taken. The color were vivid and the pictures alive. Its has 4x optical zoom and a 10 megapixel. it has also antiblur and face detection system. Planning to buy new camera soon? Thet would be a definite yes! and im currently saving to buy a dslr.

Hello shajian, I had one digital camera some years ago. But now no one.Only a web camera is here.It also not using now. If it needs a camera i think i will buy a mobile phone with camera. That will be more easy to carry and the price also will be less than buying a separate camera. Thanks

If I answered yestareday, I would have told you I was planning to buy a new DSLR, but it's too late, because I bought my wife a Sony Alpha A700 and myself a Canon 50D. The Nikon is a nice camera, but I don't need video capture, and we both shoot wildlife and macro and very active kids, all in pro light, so the high speed shutter (5 frames per second and 6.3 fps vs Nikon's 3fps) won us over; and Jean really wanted the in-built anti shake (Super Steady Shot) while I wanted to be able to use all the lenses and accessories from my existing Canon cameras. I like Nikons, and I REALLY like Canons, but these new Sony Alphas are really great cameras, too. The Canon is definately the best value dollar for dollar, but don't ask me which is the "best" camera....too personal an opinion.

I am planning to buy a Nikon D60 soon as my first DSLR. I think it is suitable for a beginner as stated in most reviews I read.
