I've been using Win Vista for about a month and although I'm sort of liking it I seem to have a lot of problems with it being VERY SLOW. I know enough to clear cache, temp folders and all of that but anything other than that I don't know what to do!!! I have a brand new system with lots of everything on it and it should run much faster than it does! I don't have a lot of games and junk on it so does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do???? Thanks for any suggestions you can give me!

I don't like it either because it's slow going too. I know a lot of sites that I visit and sorts are not compatable to Vista and often take long to download. I'm not sure what you could do sorry crty.

Vista are for those advance uses only, better we stick with our old XP. If you want the great feature of Vista, specially it's windows then try to get the Vista Transformer, it will not erase your programs, but it will make your windows look like one.

Please don't get vista anytime now. its bloody screwy. i read an article this morning and guess what...before they released a patch, iPods connected to Vista would be CORRUPTED if you use the SAFETY REMOVE feature from Windows, that kind of waste is this?Im expecting a lot of drivers and softwares to be incompatible with Vista. Looking at how Microsoft is trying to conquer everything, i foresee many antivirus vendors taking sometimes to make their softwares compatible with vista.

Vista itself is a verry sensitive kind of OS, it needs a much higher specs and a compatible softwares.

My latest computer is 5 months old now,and came with vista installed-day to day I find it to be stable,I've hardly had any BSOD's in that time, but one thing bugs me about it now is that I have to carefully check out any new equipment I'm planning on using with it to make sure it's Compatible! My previous computer running XP quit on me,prompting the vista machine purchase..but the Vista machine won't accept my scanner from the XP one! I managed to get the XP one going again,to transfer photos and such,so I'm currently transferring scanned pix with a USB memory key,as I wasn't planning on keeping both and networking them!

I have had alot of problems with it. The other day it literally just disappeared alltogether from my computer and took everything with it. 3000 pictures of my kids gone, everything on my computer is gone. I don't think I like it so much either!!!

I haven't had any problems at all with mine, and I've had it for almost a year. We bought the computer on Black Friday last year. To be fair, I only use it for things online. I haven't downloaded much of anything, just plug ins and things that I need for some of my favorite websites. We have another computer that is the gaming computer, so that's where I download anything like that.

Mine did the same thing when I first got it. I also have Windows Vista. I finally got ahold of someone at HP where I bought my computer and they told me how to fix it. Save everything you have that you want to keep. Then crash out your computer to when it is brand new and once it is reprogrammed, delete everything that you do not use. They come with a lot of "junk" on them. Since I did all of that, I have not had a single problem with mine and I love Vista.

Oh god yes. I hate the darn thing. My parents recently got a new computer with windows vista home premium. I HATE it. Installing things if they will even install takes forever. Its not a slow computer either. It is a amd phenom triple core 2.1 ghz with 4gigs of ram! I cannot get nero 8 or 9 to install on the darn thing. I had to use safe mode to upgrade the driver for the graphics card. Microsoft should be embarrassed they released this thing.

Yes, at first when i start using Windows vista when it was just launched, it has alot of problems. But since microsoft has updates on windows vista occasionally, it seems to make my Operationg system more stable after downloading and installing the updates. I would strongly suggest you to download the updates from microsoft and install them as it would definitely help you in your problem. CHEERS
