Why do people start the most ridiculous discussions,

Come on now people a discussion about the grossest thing about vomit?? Or that their feet stink who cares?? I would like to think that this could be a place for some intelligent conversation or even an emotional outlet. There is such a wide diversity of people on here there is so much room for gaining knowledge on here or just some helpful advice. Why would anyone waste their time starting such ridiculous unimportant discussions, better yet why would any of us waste our time reading and or replying to them??

There are over 148,000 people on mylot. We are bound to come across silly discussions. I tend to pass them by in search of something else. Most people do start conversations worth responding to. And it is often worth the hunt!

Yes I agree with you there,it is worth the hunt.I just had to ask I couldn't believe it,where do they come up with it?I generally laugh at it myself I was just thinking why not start a discussion about it and see what kind of responses I get. Jas

I can say that it is sometimes quite hard to find a good discussion when I'm on here in the mornings. There are alot of crazy questions. I skip them and don't pay them any attention but sometimes I have to skip several pages to get to something that has some substance. To each his own though, I'm sure not everyone likes my discussions or thinks their worth anything. But I would like to see some other things. There was someone on here this morning begging people to send him money...

I haven't come across any of those. I guess they can't think of anything else to talk about that hasn't already been done on here.
