in our everyday lives...do we really pray as soon as we wake up...
i've been so guilty with this, there are times, that i do my morning rituals but often i forget to talk to God and pray to Him, and im NOT proud of it...
this is the one and most important thing that i should be doing, to give thanks and praise to Him and to ask for His guidance.
i hope and i should try to do this always.
How about you, do you pray as soon as you wake up?

You have to find times for these kinds of things wisely.Every morning before going o school my daughter prays.Instead sitting on the sofa waiting for her I thought of joining in her prayer session. Now for past several years I am praying every morning wwith my daughter.

I don't pray when I wake up but I do pray before going to bed. Before, I did try to make it a habit but I soon lost it again when I got a more busy schedule - I just forgot all of a sudden and it never crossed my mind again...
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

i have been neglecting to pray every morning, but i resolve to do so starting tomorrow. i think that offering my day to God every morning would help me become a better person and choose the right decisions throughout the day.

Hi friend, i do not pray everyday, for your information i am not a christian. I only pray when i go to the temple or when my family pray in my house. I think if you are a christian, you should not forget to do your morning rituals daily and you should try to talk to god and pray to him, thats what a devoted christian should do in my opinion. happy lotting ahead and have a nice day !

Yes, i do. i silently pray that the coming day will be safer for me and my family. i also pray for all my loved ones that they be guided and be safe and there will be no harm to come, and lastly, a prayer that i will do good and do right things and do things correctly in the office.
its actually just a short, very very short prayer that i do in the morning.

Our prayers should come from our heart, so I try not to make it a ritual that should be done in a special time of the day.
We have many things we can thank our Creator for, and when I see something beautiful or am reminded about some way he has shown his love to us, I like to say thanks to him.
We often need advice in our lives, to do the right things, and we can talk to our Heavenly Father to get his help and then study his word, the Holy Bible to find out his will.
We can also ask him to send someone to us who can help us to find out about his purpose.

Every morning I go for my daily job.
There is a beautiful path in the woods where I live.
I can watch the sunrising and see all the beautiful plants, flowers and wild life during this job
I can't help but feel connected to god and creation when I am out there.
Many times, yes, as I run, I give thanks for the beauty and wonder in the world.
I give thanks for a lot of things in my life..
So I guess my way of praying occurs with sneakers...more so than in a church or at an alter with candles..
God can be everywhere and anywhere..

I see I have one more reason to be glad I grew up without any religion. I don't have to feel guilty over something as trivial as not praying. I don't understand why people love to believe in something that makes them guilty in so many ways, just for being human.

I think people have the right to believe or not. There are people who are non religious yet pray all the time. It is called meditation. That can be about whatever you want it to IMO

i do respect each and everyone's beliefs. in my case, i grew up believing in God because this is what my parents had taught me.
but even if there are people who doesnt believe in Him, i believe that they also do the right thing by not hurting others in any other ways.

Morning is the best hour of the day for all of us...Especially in that very morning we remember GOd in our lives...Everyone believes that God is always with us...So therefore if we believe on it we should pray the very first our in the morning...As likewise...I love praying in the morning because as i notice if i cannot pray on that very day my life is not complete.

Prayer is our tools to communicate with the Lord and it is important to our living. I often pray but sometimes when i woke up I didn't had my prayer because I used to hurry in preparing what my kids and husband need before they go to school. And doing mylot every late at night I'll always wake up late. But I didn't forget to offer my work to him and all my sacrifices doing household chores. It is still another way of prayer not only the traditional way. Talking to God with all our heart. :)

no, we have never pray in china, which maybe is so different from your habit, because most of the chinese have no special faith except some minority. our education includes no content of the religions.

I am Catholic... but i do not really follow the rituals that all Catholics should follow... and that includes praying in the morning... in fact... i rarely pray nowadays... seems like my busy life is taking a toll at my spiritual life... and i am glad that you reminded me that i should at least take a few minutes of each day to pray and thank the Lord for all the blessings He has given me...
I will try to pray more often...

I have to say, no, though before I eat breakfast, I do thank Him then, for the food and the day and for any needs I think of..I should take at least 5 minutes to thank Him before I do anything, thank you for this discussion, I will start tomorrow..

I like to pray to God to thank him for the day, or pray for those who are ill.
I like to pray every evening, but like you sometimes, I do forget.
I think God will not mind, he will forgive you. You are a good person, and praying most of the time is enough in Gods eyes.
