How do you feel when you don't hear from online friends for a long time?

When I feel like a friend online is being quiet, I try to e-mail the person first or leave the person offline messages. If I feel like the person's being quiet is something uncomfortable already, I guess, I would try to talk to the person over the phone.

if i dont hear my online friends i am wondering what happend or any serious problem.but in my case yes i did not visit mylot few weeks ago coz of serious problem but thanks God i am fine and i can smile again!

Well i am very curious how they are living and wanting to see them sometime ... to be honest i am the so call online friends that don't hear for a long time , for me it is because we had troubled in our life that we wish to be alone as we are not sure how to say it out yea .

There are a few whom i have not heard for months, and i do really missed them lots.. But when they are back again, i feel that i'm not that close to them anymore, and there's a distance between me and them.. I won't really feel sad but it's just natural that i start to treat them like normal frenz instead, so whether they are online or not, i dun really care as much like b4..

Well the ones I'm "close" with have my e-mail address so I have a way to get in touch with them. I did lose a few off Yuwie before I started exchanging addresses though. Sad...

I am not sure about here. but for my guy friends i would worry if they have not get in touch for a month.

I guess they just move on. Not alot we can do except leave messages and if they don't respond then I guess wait a little while longer before giving up. If a bond is purged then they will leave you with other means to contact them with. I don't hound them I leave one or two messages and sit back and wait. Sometimes things happen beyond someones control like they lost internet or their computer so it is best not to give up entirely.

I assume they are so busy that they don't have the time to write . I hope they are doing okay.

Hi Ronaldinu, The people that I am very close too I have private emails for though not all and I do worry when I haven't heard from them but I also think that they have life stuff going on away from the computer and will be back when they are good and ready and it is always that much nicer to hear from them then too. I worry about my online friends those whom I am close to as it is normally strange not to hear from them fortunaley though some I am able to keep intouch with another way...littleowl

Hi ronaldinu, Yes, I do feel very sad that some of my friends that I was close to had gone from Mylot, I have even tried to pm them but they have completley gone, I am very sad. Tamara

Hi ronaldinu, Yes I do wonder what happens to my friends when I don't hear from them for awhile. In fact I am quite worried about 2 of them right now. One had a personal problem with an illness in the family and hasn't been heard from in a month and the other has just up and left the lot and I am deeply sorry about them both! They were two people that I truly cared about! I guess that's what happens with online friends. You can only do so much sometimes. I have some friends here on the lot that I have exchanged email addresses with for just that purpose so that we can keep in touch no matter what.

I feel great and happy to hear from them. I have this person (Male) I met online about 4 years ago. We would send emails to each other often and we would chat on the yahoo messenger. All of a sudden he just disappeared. I even remember his birthday I send him cards for that. And I didn't get a reply from him for a couple of years. Then out of the blue I started getting greeting cards and those forwarding emails. But he will not reply to me one on one. I don't understand that.

I'm a worrier. So I worry about them when I don't hear from them for some time.

Though online friends come and go unlike the real friends we have physically but mylot friends strikes a different kind of friendship, whereby you communicate with them almost daily and if they just happen to disappear from the screen or from mylot I will be wondering whats happenning to them. After the great bond of friendship established here their absence is really being felt. I have no where of tracing their whereabout but I sincerely hope that they did not leave mylot for good as it will end the friendship for good.

I just feel like calling them up... I will wonder about them, a lot.. Since you mentioned it, I was wondering about a good friend of mines at myLot. She is faith210. I have not heard from her in a while, maybe about a month now.. I hope that everything is fine. I will need to email her. I usually see her around here very often.. I know that she has a life and is very busy.. But, I will contact her to see how she is doing.. I hope that she will check her messages in time..

i worry about them.. i will try to get a hold of them but unfortunately sometimes you just never will know

Hi ya ronaldinu I was just wondering the other day what has happened to one of my myLot friends as she was very active and now I think it has been about 2 weeks since she posted a discussion or responded to one of mine. I was thinking about starting a discussion asking other mylotters if they knew anything but feel that it is not a reason to start a discussion.

I think that's because they are busy with life or other business. I will miss my online friends if they dont log on somtimes. But it's normal, we always meet new friends and we have to do many things.
