outside your own country, which is your favorite place and why?

I have traveled to many different countries and it has been challenging to find out which are my favorite places. I went to Australia in 1993 and nowadays that is second favorite country. I love its sense of space, lovely varied landscape and unique wildlife. The local people are friendly, honest and fun to be with. I ended up marrying an Australian but we are now divorced. I went to New Zealand in 2001 and nowadays it is my second favorite country. I adore its natural beauty, its low population, its amazing views and its pristine landscape. I found its weather strange because even on a bit sunny but more dull day it is possible to get sun burnt there. In summer the weather there is fine but the rest of the year is not warm enough for me. In 2002 on my way home from New Zealand I went to Samoa nowadays that it my favorite country. Wow! I adore its tropical landscape, palm fringed beaches, cool highlands, green rain forests, traditional accommodation and blow holes. The culture is unspoilt and interesting because I met a village chief and chatted to the friendly local people. I had a fun time traveling on local buses because the locals have an amusing way to travel. I stayed in thatched fales and felt a soft ocean breeze at night and heard the gentle waves crash against the shore. I simply adore and feel very at home when I am on a tropical island and have been to many, but Samoa is my favorite and it always will be.

My favorite places outside my country would be Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Russia (St. Petersburg), England, and America. I've only been to Hong Kong when I was a kid and would love to go to these other places. It feels good to be in another country because everything is new and all of them are there to be explored. And of course, the cuisine would be a treat as well.
