When asking to be someone friend on mylot today I noticed that this person had LOADS of freinds and this got me wondering a question for those with loads of freinds, do you have the notify number on "ON" so whenever these friends start a new discussion they come through on your e mail. If so how on earth do you cope with being flooded with loads of new discussions being started every day and how on earth do you get to answer them all?
Does this make sense? Hope so.
Look forward to reading how you cope with this.
Love

In that case, i always check the folder on mylot which is friends started discussions and check those new discussions they posted here and start replying to them. I never got that kind of notifications in my email, only the interest notifications. Happy posting.

hi
i do not have the notify number on "on" for every friend but most of them with whom i have had discussions earlier and who are pretty decent in the discussions.even i have lot of friends-the reason is that i have never ever denied a friend's request.but whenever i make a friends request and if it accepted;i usually turn the notify 'on'.

I don't have a massive number of friends like some people on mylot do, although i have enough that i would never get through all the discussions if i had the notification turned on for all of them! The way i do it is to have the notification switched on for the friends that i speak to on mylot regularly, so the people that regularly respond to my discussions and the ones that i often reply to theirs, that way my inbox doesn't get too full. If i have time after going through my inbox i will go to the friends started discussion area so that i do respond to all of my friends discussions at least occasionally! xxx

I have my notify on for every friend and I try to answer as many discussion from my friends as I can. I don't answer stuff that just don't apply to me but I look at all of their discussion. I have gmail for my email and so I am not worried about my email being flooded.

I have notify on for all of my Friends in here that are active. I have a special Folder set up for when my Friends start New discussions in here so I can keep up with their discussions as I have time. Most days I get way more than I can ever respond back too, but I do try to answer back to some of them as I can if I feel I can answer them, but it can be hard sometimes to keep up as well. But this is a Good thought for sure.

I have every single notification on. I have a lot of friends, but I don't want to miss their discussions. I kind of feel like I owe it to them to go through their discussions before venturing to random ones on mylot. Although I do take a break sometimes and go try to answer some of the ones with no responses. I may not get through all of them in one day, but I do get through them. And even though I get every notification, it's not like every single one is a discussion I can actually answer.

I think that I have over 200 friends and at first I would keep all my notifications turned on. I suffered for that though, my inbox at times would be bursting, I kept up with it alright though for a good while but then my time that I could spend on here changed and I just started to get behind. Now I have turned most of them off and only have a few turned on so that I can keep up with it.

Hi ya Anne18
I have all my friends notifications set to 'ON'. Yes I do get a lot of emails as I have nearly 80 friends but not all of them are active. Also I can pcik and choose which one's I want to respond to and simply delete the ones I don't want to or can't. I do and try to respond to them all but it is difficult when it is about a subject I know nothing about and therefore don't respond to those ones.

many people here have a lot of friends and it is just limited to mylot and not more i feel and if it is then those are very few people who are real friends i believe. it is not possible to answer all the discussions your friends have started and it is optional for us and if we like any discussion and it is of our interest then we just answer it or if we find that it is not of our interest we just carry on with other discussÃons and it is common and it is the thing we do it daily and it is not important that we have to go through all the friends discussions and answer them and it is just left on us and it is our wish.

I only have 3 pages of friends and they are all "on". I just get to them when I can and don't stress about it.

Well, I keep my notices on cause I actually plan on responding to everyone! It's part of my system I'm implementing! What I do is reach is payout, then I go back and respond to all the responses and comments in one day! Sounds tedious but works, may hit payout again just responding!!

I personally can't stand unnecessary emails and I have acquired a lot of mylot friends over the past couple years so my inbox would be flooded every day. When I add friends I check that they have logged in recently, I don't just add anyone. However I haven't been through and deleted non-active friends for a long time. I plan on doing this.

Over the past year or so I've collected 79 friends, and for most of the year I've been offline! I think whenever I create a discussion somebody relates to, they add me. I try to respond, but only if their discussions interest me.
I don't think I receive e-mails when a friend makes a discussion, I can't seem to see the option anywhere, and besides, I hardly check my e-mail nowadays anyway- I have so much junkmail, heheh.

i "notify on" on some of my friends...when i started mylot...but as i dont usually visit my email i just have to check the section of mylot where the discussion of friends started...in that case i surely directed to my friends discussion...as i havent been active on replying on all of the discussion they started because there are too many...but i surely tried to reply the most numbers of what my friends started...and as of now, im trying to be active again, since i was gone for a couple of days! hopefully i will devote more time again on mylot!
happy mylotting!
God bless!

hello there, I have a lot of friends here, around 400 I guess and almost all notifications are turned on, as how do I cope with it? well I browse their discussion on my mail and if the topic is interesting I respond but if it is not, I just delete them.
