what do you call a true friend?

A true friend is a great asset for every one. True friendship is built on the foundation of mutual trust,commitment,love and honesty,both in words and actions. It is not one sided,rather it is reciprocal. A true friend believes more on the principle of giving and sharing unconditionally and naturally,having no intention of getting anything in return. If you desire to have the company of true friends,you need to become true and honest to others, in all aspects of your dealing and interaction. It is important to stay positive and help your friends in all situations,particularly in the event of crisis and adversity. Thanks.

i call a true friend someone who is there for you on a daily basis no matter what your going through. a true friend is the one that does not run away or give up when the going gets rough. they do not lie to you and tell you something just to make you happy. also a true friend will tell you if you have something on your face or in your teeth from lunch and just wont let you walk around looking silly. a true friends is a lot of things.

A true friend is someone who does not lie to you, does not only hang out with you when there is nothing better to do and is always there for you. It is very hard to find people like this but it should not be hard. It is very easy to be all of things but most people choose to use people and lie to get what they want at the expense of other people's feelings.

we should help each other whenever we are in trouble ,and share happiness and sorrows with us gorw up to die and so on . true friend is hard to fine in social life ,many people just to share your happiness but not sorrows ,i do not why the can do that so if we have own a true friend we must treasur it,when you lost it you will regret ,and true mean a lot to anyone else, but now ,i just have a true friend on my life ,it is really hard to find it ,i have try my best to do that but ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My meaning of a true friend is simple: "Someone who walks in when the world walks out." A true friend is an asset. When you are in trouble or you have a real need that is when you really find out who your true friends are.

I have a friend that we know each other for nearly six years.He is so sweet that no matter what happened to me,I will tell he.When I'm happy,he would happy too.When I am grouchy,he would make me happy.When I cry he always be there for me whatever he is doing.It seems I am the most important thing in his world.I think he is my ture friend.

True friends are kind of a people with whom we enjoy and do not think that its our duty to be with them.. Even the other side should enjoy being with you, also at times when you both get bored. True friends cannot be found and be made a best friend. Only rare people become best friend and we do not realize that now we are good friends! If you try to find a best friend then you will never get one, but if you make friends be good with them , then one of them automatically becomes one o your best friend,,,,,we just need Patience!!!!

I think the real meaning of being a true friend is someone who will not betray & leave you. Im borg girlfriend by the way, im cherry! I have this friend Ive known way back in highschool and I really thought we would stay as the best of friends until we grow old but, as petty as it may seem, we had a fight over a guy. and to think he wasn't even cute! hehe! I had this crush thing going on with a guy I've grown close with back in college and I told her about it. Little did I know that they were going out behind my back! The guy told me casually because he didn't knew I was starting to like him. When I confronted my friend she told me they only went out twice for coffee and that it didn't mean anything. She said she in fact wanted to ask me to got with them. I was really mad and I felt betrayed. I mean it will really hurt that he like him but I can accept that if only she would have told me then. I would understand & would have given her my blessings. Our relationship started to change after that incident and after 4 years we are just starting to build our relationship again. I'm happy to say we are now starting to work things out. It's hard to trust her that much again but I'm trying.

Someone who stands by you through thick and thin! It's hard to make friends these days as you get the feeling that you cannot trust anyone in today's world! You kind of get the impression that everyone is out to get all that they can from you! This is a generalisation on my part and I don't wholly believe this. I have a very good friend and I have known him for many years and he is so trust worthy! I think that the longer you know someone, the more trust you place in them. I've been through financial troubles in the past and he has bailed me out! I have never taken advantage of his kindness. There will be others that you can not rely on though as regards friendship. I thought that I had a really good friend in the past but then, this friend started stealing from me, some friend! I broke up the friendship immediately. I'm very cautious when I meet new people now. I suppose you have to give them the benefit of the doubt initially, at least until they prove otherwise! Friendship is important and so I guess the saying is true, that you should choose your friends carefully. Andrew

I call a true friend my family. Because a family would never let you down and when everything else in your life is gone, only true friends and families remain.

A true friend, to me, is someone who will always be available whether in times of need or to just have fun. A friend who will never betray, cheat or abandon you. For me, a true friend is someone honest enough to tell you how bad you are, then let you know one by one what your mistakes are. Then cheers you up. A true friend doesnt always gives you the best, but brings out the best in you.

That is right.... your true friend is always available for you it may be anytime of the day or night. However, on your part it is your duty not to disturb bim for small things which does not require the immediate help of a friend. One has to be fair with the friend. Another thing is that we should be considerate with our friend. If he/she is not able to help us sometimes, then we should not think immediately that he/she is not a good friend. It is quite possible that he/she was in need of your help at the same time but did not bother you somehow. So be considerate.

jhl930 hi to me a true best friend is one who you trust with 'allyour secrets and is there for you through thick and thin and thus I am also there for her in thick and thin. She had my best interests at heart and I have hers. She worries bout me and I worry about her too.Mybest friend Nelda is all those things, and so friendly and sweet everyone she meets likes her. I hope I am some of those things to her too. I am moving and leaving her is truly so hard, i know I can write and email but we wont have our every other Wednesday night meeetings any more. I feel really sad about all this.

yeah i got a few like that. they always been there for me, and i have been there for them as well, no matter what time it was. we always there for one another.

I noticed this lately about myself. I'm a girl and I absolutely hate most women, and can not and refuse to befriend them My only true friend, with whom I stayed friends for over 14 years is a girl, and I really like her, because she doesn't talk smack about other girls or even guys, she doesn't enjoy to inrefere in other people's lives, and she's simple, even though she has money, and never boasts about it. Also, I really want to be myself, say silly stuff, and make fun of situations, and not get them offended easily, and of course I would want them to always be there for me emotionally as to help me when I'm in need of some moral support.Cheers!
