Most of the topics I post are just thoughts or questions on my mind when I sit down and sign on to myLot. So it's more a nature, in the moment kind of thing..
But some of them are topics that come to mind when I am away from the computer and enjoying my daily life. Things I try to remember for the next time I sign on myLot.
I have always been a curious person by nature, so I am always wondering a ton of things about life, people ect.
I also noticed that last night when I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep I had a bunch of topics come to mind haha!
On occassion I am replying to someone else's post..Telling a certain story that reminds me of a whole other topic..
Although I sometimes see similiar topics being posted, most of the topics are questions or ideas I have not seen posted yet.
It amazes me the millions of things we have to talk about! So how do you come up with the ideas you use for topics?

Quotes are beautiful - especially when they are relevant and thought-provoking.

Sometimes its just a thought that pops in my mind, sometimes its a real life experience. It has alot to do with whats happening around me and what I am seeing. I just never know when it will happen. I have simple questions, and then sometimes much more complicated and you get the most responses sometimes from the ones that you dont think that you will.

Hi Shar11!
Most of the topics/discussions that I've started are based on my emotions or some occasions or celebrations I've been to and would like to share with everybody. Some, I'm just curious about.
Like you, when I answer different discussions new ideas and questions suddenly pop into my head that would be nice as a discussion of my own. Other times, like what happened to me last night, as I was getting ready to go to bed ideas started flowing in and now the only thing I could remember was the "reunion" thing that I've had with my grade school friends and that's the discussion I've started just now.

I just think of them as I go along. I don't preplan anything, I just try to think up different things.
I don't think I do so badly. I do rather well, in fact.
Look at all the discussions I have logged in .

Well, for the Topics and ideas I decide to post on here in myLot, it can be a number of things. Sometimes it is on something that is going on in my Life at the moment I feel like sharing, or some thoughts I have on something going on in the World, on TV, etc. or then sometimes it could just be because I have a thought or tip I wanted to share that I feel might help others. But there are times I will think of something I want to write about here, and not home around the Computer so I end up having to jot it down somewhere, and talk about it in here when I get back around here as well.

Many times it is just something I have read or seen or a discussion I have had with someone that ends up inspiring my topic decisions; but I also seem to get many different ideas after interacting with other people's discussions as well. More times than not I will read a response or a topic and it will remind me of something else and it goes from there! Overall though it is general daily experiences coupled with many memories that define what I come up with.

Hi Shar11,
I just try to think of something that has not already been posted before (at least I haven't come across and still remember). It is kinda hard as anyone will notice since every topic has been touched on in about a thousand ways already.
Normally, I will just try to think of everything. I just think of... everything and try to see what jumps and connects.
Topics are usually born this way for me.
Cheers!

The majority of mine come from things that happen to me in my day to day life, or things I see here that make me wonder about certain things. I don't start too many discussions simply because the things that pop into my head are either way too silly, (when I am in one of those moods), or could be taken the wrong way. Since I prefer to have fun, with my crazy friends here, I stay away from the stuff that can be taken the wrong way.......most of the time.*L*

Well most of my topic is based on my experience and sometimes those question in my mind and also those topics which i think is very interesting. I started a story about my friends, but i seldom posting a discussions here about my personal. I can post about the develpoment of my baby and the day to day happening when we go out. But some of them sometimes, disappear on my mind before i posted them so i only got few discussion started. Happy posting.

All the topics I have posted in myLot are my thoughts. If one thought comes in my mind at night or at the time of slepping I will post that discussion on next day morning. Actually I started my discussions mainly related to my day to day life. I always try to avoid same type of discussins as I have started. Some time I didn't find any idea to start a discussion. But some times when I am not in myLot work some different thoughts comes in to my mind.

That's pretty much how I post. I can be reading something or just surfing the net and something will pop into my head that I think may be interesting to post and so I post it. Something can happen in my everyday life that I need to get off my chest so I'll come here and post it. I also get ideas from other posted ideas so I'll post those also.

Hi there Shar. In my case the ideas come in various forms - sometimes i think about a new topic, other times they just pop to me, and in some cases - like it happened to me today, i relate a case to me and then think that it would be nice to know what other mylot-ers prefer / do in the respective matter.

There are times when many questions fill my head. I'd jot down those potential mylot topics. But sometimes I don't know what category to out it in, or maybe I just don't like to know the answer anymore, so I don't post those anymore. I seldom post new discussions because I always have a writer's block. I still prefer responding to discussions which are already here. It's easier for me that way. But nowadays I feel like the level of activity on mylot is low so I want to post something myself. :(

Wow! Good for you to come up with topics as you try to sleep. For me, I'm more like the spur-of-the-moment type. Anything that comes up to my mind, I try to post it as soon as I can before it fades away hehehe. But then there are times when I'd think about topics other myLotters might somehow relate to just to have a lively discussion in the process.

actually, whatever comes to my mind which i think would interest our fellow lotters. i also start discussions about my feelings and some are really kind to sympathize with me. there are times that a topic pops up my mind like when i am already lying in bed. i immediately grab my cellphone and make a note about it because i'll probably forget it the next day. it is funny sometimes you are thinking about a very interesting topic and when you are about to post it, you can't remember it anymore.

Most of the topics I come up just pop out in my mind as well. However, I'm always careful in posting new discussions because I don't have a way of knowing if an existing topic is already in place! MyLot is such a big site with so many posts.
