Have you ever had a dream that you recalled the moment you woke up and thought that you would remember those fine tuned details later on but then didn't? How can it be so clear the moment you wake but hours later seem gone forever? Do you write down your dreams the moment you wake from them? If not, why not? I mean to leave a pencil and paper near the bed but do not always. I often think to write the details down before I loose track of the recollection. Sometimes I do and sometimes I dont. Dreams have meaning. Yes or no? What do your dreams mean to you? Do you ever have recurring dreams? How do you interpret your dreams?

i have books on dreams and they really help me understand the meaning of my dreams. One of my books said that if you want to remember your dreams, set your alarm in the middle of the night and upon waking up, you will be half unconscious and therefore you can remember your dreams. then simply write the summary of it. When you wake up and read about it, details would suddenly be recurred. Sometimes, dreams are not exactly "dreams". they can be an astral travel wherein your soul leaves your body to explore. Vivid dreams and logical dreams are example of this.

Thank you for your response. I have enjoyed reading what you had to say. I too have a dream interpretation book that helps me often also. I love the idea of setting the clock for the middle of the night. I may try that too. I agree that sometimes our dreams are not dreams but astral travel. I was unaware of logical dreams. I thank you again for your response. I appreciated it.

thank you! i really love topics on dreams. i think they are "clues" from our past lives. Sometimes, my dreams are indications of what's gonna happen to my day. they are really helpful :)

I'm able to remember my dreams at the moment I wake up,but in most cases I may froget them in about 1 hour...that's funny:about one hour ago I can recall nearly all the details of my dream, but after 1 hour I even can't remember whether I've had dreams when i'm sleeping last night... I'm sorry that I can't give you any advise to remember your dreams cuz I don't know either...maybe sleeping with a pencil and a piece of paper beside you will be an excellent choice~ I seldom write my dreams down, but sometimes I record my thoughts from the dream in my blog~

Nice. You are fortunate to be able to remember your dreams in detail. That would be the time to write the details down, if you wanted, within the first hour of waking. I think my biggest problem for remembering dreams and maybe for others is that when I wake but my eyes are not open yet, I am thinking about the day ahead and not backwards to where my sleep had been taking me, if that makes sence. Thank you for your response.

Well, if I dream about something bad or very scary then I don't forget it when I wake up in the morning and it will be on my mind for days.Otherwise, I just don't seem to understand why I can't remember my dreams and recall it.My sister has a book on how to interpret on dreams. She never forgets her dream for sure

It is pretty amazing when we find people who remember their dreams precisely isn't it? Nice to hear from you brisk, thanks for your response. I know what you mean about the bad dreams sticking with us for days. that happens to me sometimes as well. I find that if I am thinking about dreaming and I go to bed and think to myself that I want to remember my dream, sooner or later I will and it can be surely amazing. I had a dream the other night that was rather troublesome, where I was in conflict with my brothers wife. She was really mad at me. Left me feeling uneasy when I woke. Think about remembering your dreams and maybe you will.

I have experienced dreaming still when I begin to wake. Unfortunately I couldn't stay and remain in dreamland. Thank you for your comment.

Hi EvrWonder! I have often thought of starting a dream journal. I dream all the time! There is no way that I can remember all that I dream and it's details. I used to have a certain dream..well...nightmare as a child and I would have sworn that it was a premonition of my demise..lol..I haven't had that dream in a long time though. I don't put a lot of stock into my dreams because I have so many. I have started a book or two based on them though. Be nice if I could actually finish one of them.

That is cool, I often start dream journals as well but then I never finish them. I leave a pencil and paper by my bed. I would try to jot down as much as you can in the morning before you get out of bed or in the middle of the night if the dream wakes you. It can be so interesting later on to look back on. Lucky for you that you dream so much. I know I do as we all do but remembering them is something else. They say that dreams are what we have where our subconscious is taking care of what we haven't conscientiously. I used to have a terrible nightmare all the time. Reoccurring. One day, as an adult I told my Mom. She told me to draw it so I did. She told me that it was the crib I was in in the hospital when I was one and got burnt really bad. I never have had that bad dream since. I can still see it though. Thanks for your great response. Nice to hear from you.

I dream when I really gets tired, and sometimes I wake up with smiles, sadness, crying and felt numb, as I get tired from long travel. I remember some of my dreams in vivid detail, just like in a movies where i am a part of the scene. I watch every place as I was their exactly and even the feel of air, the views of flowers, and even the people whom I encounter. I may even get excited and feel as I was being carried in flying carpet. But, most of my dreams and it's detai is erase after I wake up. I think many times to recall it but only comes with small detail I wonder also, how it comes out that way. When, in fact I feel I participate on it. I dreams varies, sometimes I dream that I run faster and crowds chase me, fall from a building, and moon is getting closer on me while in bed. I cannot really interpret as I am not skillful to decipher the meanings. But, I read that many dreams were use as reminding of what should be avoided and what need to be done to become s better person.

Interesting what you read about dreams. I never thought of it that way. Sounds like you could be soul traveling in your sleep as you are feeling the air, seeing the flowers and feeling of being carried on a carpet. There are some good books and even information online that you can find on dream interpretation. Good Dream Interpretation and see what you get back. It's fun!

I answered a similar inquiry at http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1690630.aspx It is about a dream I had at 17 (I am over 50 now) Not that I remember all my dreams. I have too many dreams of me flossing my teeth ...
