I must admit that my eldest son, who is now 7 years old, has had a pretty successful year this year. He ended the rugby season in April having been chosen as the 'players, player' and got a trophy. Then at the end of the Boy Brigade year in July he was awarded a certificate and won a trophy for being the best 'Anchor'. He was then chosen to be a page boy for the towns Old English Fayre which was a very proud moment for me. We entered all the kids involved in the Old English Fayre into the carnival with no financial help at all and still managed to come second where the Carnival Queen didn't even get a prize. My son's most recent success was that he has been chosen to be in the school council. I am very proud of my son's acheivements!
So how well have your kids done this year?

hi
My elder son is 30 years old. And he is well settled. He is doing a job in a big corporate house. And there Compnay is still doing well despite severe economic crisis.
My 2nd son, is yet to be settled. He is also doing a good job, but i think he is far from satisfied so always searching for a better one.
My daughter is studying PG degree in a reputed university.
So overall, I'm happy with performances of my children. I don't know whether I can claim that they are successful, but I'm satisfied the way they are progressing.

Congratulations on the success of your son. My boys are very successful. My oldest is 19. He graduated from high school and decided not to go to college. He went out and got a full time job as a welder. Within 2 months he was head welder and training all the new guys. He is the only one who can weld the materials for display in their showcase.
My next two boys are also very successful. They both play sports and have many many trophys. They both recieved the highest athlete award in middle school. Now that they are both in high school, they still are playing and getting tons of recognition.
My daughter is only 8 and she just started to play basketball last year. She recieved the trophy for mvp and was thrilled.
I am also a very proud mom. We are proud of all of our children.

Well done to you son. I hope that he has alot more years like this one.
All my children have had a very successful year.
My 17 year old passed his G.C.S.Es back in June with all As and Bs he is now in six form and studying A levels which he is expected to do very well in. His teachers say he is a pleasure to teach because he is like a sponge and absorbs everything.
My 15 year old also passed two G.C.S.Es back in the summer and got a C and a B.He is now studying for the rest of his G.C.S.E and has also been made a perfect.
My 11 year old daughter is now double national champion(Welsh and English) in her weight group at judo. She also slashed just under 30 seconds off her personal best for the 1500ms and won the gold. She also won gold in hurdles and bronze in the pentathlon for the under 13s local athletics club. She also is excelling at school she has been described as one of the best athletes the school has ever seen. And has a natural talent for drama and music. Basically she is good at everything.
My 7 year old son has done very well at school his teacher says that this year she has noticed a new maturity in him and he excels at maths and is far ahead of his age in his reading.
My 2 year old has come on with his speech brilliantly in the last few months. He also can now dress himself and is very independent.
I am very proud of all my children.

My son has been very successful lately. He received straight "A's" on his report card, he just finished a season of baseball, he is now learning to play the clarinet and he helps around the house with chores that include cutting the grass, taking out the trash, and he even helps with his sisters. He is a very successful young man and I am very proud of him.

My son is only 3 but i thought i'd join in the discussion lol. He has come far in his talking in the last year. He was out of nappies by his 2nd birthday which is apparently quite impressive. He has learned to count to 20 too which is good for a child his age. He is my only child so far but hoping to have more soon! I'm so proud of every little thing he achieves. He had me in fits of laughter today when i told him was bed time he said 'Mum you've ruined my life' I honestly don't have a clue where he heard that!
Children are such a blessing to anyone.

Hi vikkiadam
You are more than welcome to join in with the discussion and I am so happy you have. Sure your 3 year old has made some great acheivements already and being clean by 2 is certainly good. I have 3 boys and they weren't clean until on or around their 3rd birthday's.
thank you so much for responding

I can't measure my daughters success yet since she is only two years old... but i can see a lot of potential in her... when it comes to singing and dancing... the only problem is that she tends to be very very shy in front of strangers and a lot of people... so i think we need to attend to that when the right time comes...

Hi Humbug, Wow for a seven year old he has accomplished much already. My four year old has yet to do anything along those lines, both my girls though are pretty successful, my eldest is at uni and has a placement this year at Cambridge University and my youngest is in full time work earning much more than me an hour LOL and is also on TV 5 days a week though very blase about it all. Neither have bought trouble to my door and are both in long term relationships and all three are very loving caring respectful people. We are both very proud mummies eh! And so we should be. Even though my son has a stocky build and I reckon would do well at Rugby he football skills are good and has the makings of a good player but we shall see. Palyer player trophy is a great one to receive as it shows your son is respected by all his team mates. Way to go! Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi ellie333
Thanks ellie and well done to you for doing such a great job of bringing up your kids so well rounded. My youngest too is stocky and hope that he too will paly well at rugby. My middle child is more of a book worm and computer geek so will do well in those fields I hope. My son being chosen to be a page boy was more luck than anything as his name was pulled out of a hat, literally, but he performed his duties well. I don't push my kids but point them in the right direction because I don't want to scare them or force them into doing something they don't really want to do!
Cheers ellie

Well I had the first parents evening of the new term just last week and I do not know how I fitted my head through the door after speaking to the teachers about my two boys. I cannot believe how well they have done in the few short weeks of being in a new class it is excellent. They are always coming home with stickers and certificates, although I think that it has something to do with the fact that they get a reward everytime they do really well in school it is costing me a fortune. But who cares if it means that they do this well in school.

It is really nice for the success of your nice and congratulations first of all.
i know parents will be really proud at their childrens success. my son is still small of about 2 and half years old and may be next year he can be got admitted to kindergarten. but i make son read all the basics like alphabets, numerals and some rhymes, and also the names of fruits and animals and he does that very well and i am just very happy that he shows interest in studying and it is really good for the first step. he also remembers the things i teach him. so at this age it is good that too learning from home.
