Do you have any bad habits you are trying to break?

A few years ago I decided I had to quit smoking..
I hated the fact that I was addicited and of course I knew how terrible it was for my health and wellness.
It was really tough and actually took me three attempts before I could truly do it.
My daughter stucked her thumb when she was a child..
We tried EVERYTHING under the sun to get her to stop as we were worried about the development of her teeth and gums.
Finally, when she started pre-school and was teased a few times..Being called a "baby" she actually stopped on her own.
Do you have any bad habits that you have overcome or are in the process of trying to break?

I have a terrible habit of biting the skin around my nails, yes, I know it's a disgusting, unhygienic habit to have, but it's due to my anxiety, I suffer terribly from anxiety and I do it without thinking, it used to be my nails that I constantly bit but I moved on from nails to the skin and my thumbs are the worst! Well bitten and picked. I don't smoke so I guess it's the lesser of the two evils, they don't look very nice especially when they bleed!

yes, I have to stop skipping my excercise. I have been terrible about it. I am working on a time schedule that will work. The other problem is not having too much chocolate.

I go to the gym 5 times a week, I would love to have you as a gym buddy we could give each other encouragement and incentive my friend! Don't worry I wouldn't work you too hard, just sometimes when you do exercise it's far more fun to do it with a friend that way you can't skip it! Exercising alone can be boring, do you take music with you when exercising? As music is a wonderful motivator!

I love music and I would love to excercise to music. That would be so much fun. Its good to have someone to support your efforts and have fun while doing it!

I used to suck my thumb, and I had to get braces, then I finally got them off and here I am today. I don't' really have any terribly bad habits right now, and if I do, I don't care enough to change them. But I think it really is good to acknowledge when something is out of control because only then can you stop it.

I have a TERRIBLE habit of biting my nails and I have tried everything from painting them to applying this one product that is "supposed" to stop me from biting them but I have found myself still chewing on them. I'm trying to get better

i am trying to cut back on eating in general. i eat healthfully most of the time but i eat too much and do not get enough exercise so i have weight to lose. food is my stress release and my companion and i just love to eat. i quit smoking 9 years ago and it was almost effortless but the food is a whole other issue for me.

First of all I think that everyone is not perfect and needs to change himself to
remove that bad aspect from his life.so I am also included in that list and do have some
bad habits but the worse one is of taking unnecessary tensions and stress.despite of knowing
the fact that whatever will going to happen will happen and we have
nothing in our hands.Our work is to perform our our duties sincerely
and the end result should be left to the almighty.the only thing left for us
is to learn from our mistakes and try to remove them.

I am a smoker and have been wanting to quit for some time. I'm only 21 and started smoking at 15 and it was a HUGE mistake. I want to quit now while I'm still young and can have a healthy life. I get winded so easily, stink from the smoke and such. It's very unhealthy and gross habit. Me and my boyfriend keep talkign about quitting together. We live together so it would be hard to try if he didn't quit with me. I'm sick with a horrible cold and bad sore throat and I haven't smoked at all today because it just hurts so bad to even talk. I'm hoping this may kick off me trying to quit so I am refusing to smoke with this sore throat. Hopefully I will be able to accomplish it this time!

I have one bad habit and it is my "maniana habit" meaning to say if I can do it right now I better pospond it and try it tomorrow. This is the reason why I haven't finish my work on time but it is depend on what work I have done. Mostly I delayed work is about laundry. I really hate that work. I was trying to quit on this bad habit caused it's not good to see those young to be their example. Anyway I was trying to hide it from my kids...:)

Smoking is definitely on the list,but about a year and a half ago I quit using opiates.Very hard to do but my life was in shambles and i wasn't focused on what really mattered to me.Like me,and my babies.I really believe what they say,make big changes,people,places, and things!I had to learn how to live again.Now I spend all my time trying to just be a good mom and a good girl.I focus on the bigger picture and I don't sweat the small stuff.Most importantly I am aware of my surroundings and my children.

Yup my biggest problem is that i have no schedule in my life. I wake up at odd times and sleep at odd times as well as eat food at odd times. All this has affected me. Since my system is not in order i am having a lot of problems in my life. One of them is that i am too thin and with this order i will never be able to gain weight. One more bad habit which i have is that stay on the computer for than 5 hours each day which is not good for me. I working putting an end to all this so if you have any tips please be happy to share. Thanks

ya i was addicted of drinking whisky a lot because i used to cry after drinking i always thought that drinking lets u blow out ur internal depression out of your heart and u yell to god in your room what is this going on with why me god but the next day after sleeping i felt more depressed and the more i am depressed in weeks or days i used to drink in night and cry but i was unware that it was making me more and more weak day by day but one day i thought i ll leave this otherwise ill kill myself one day this world if full with of bloody people selfish person why should i kill myself for what they infact i realised that i shold watch and experience from these people and see did they get results of what they did with others sometimes i had seen they got the results of their deeds in 1 way or another i stopped drinking and began gaining experience from each person i met now sometimes when i get depressed i sleep and wait forthat time to pass away i find 1 or another way to get out of my problems

Yes, currently I am trying to leave my nails alone! The past few months have been very trying for our family and it has caused me to have quite a bit of anxiety. When this happens I automatically pick at my nails. I realize that I am doing this and I realize that I need to stop and get back into my nail care regime. Most of the time I polish my nails and then touch them up at least 3 times a week. I have been working quite a bit lately and I have neglected them. So my bad habit is tearing my nails.
