My boyfriend stopped smoking and he said he's very grateful to chocolates. He told me that when he felt like smoking he would buy chocolate candies and consume it instead of lighting a stick. He's convincing me to try it to get rif of my smoking habits but I am not all convinced because chocolates are sweet and eating it whenever i feel like smoking could hike up my sugar level which is very possible because we have a family history of diabetes. Please help.

I think chocolate is okay for occasionaly nicotine cravings but if your family has a history of diabetes I would seriously find an alternative. I am trying to quit myself and have found that the inhalers are very helpful to help you quit. Good luck!!

Thanks. I'm really dying to quit smoking. Maybe it has already been an addiction. I tried going on cold turkey but I just went back to the vice after several months. I tried tapering off but it's still the same. Oh my, I hope something would really help.

Well if you go that route...
anything can a substitute for lighting up a ciggy.
Chewing gum, eating a sucker...you could try it with sugar free gum or hard candies. Or even breath mints...
I know I don't have the will power to do it that way. I'm up to three packs a day, if I started eating chocolate in place of smoking I'd be as big as a house!! lol
