When faced with ugly situations

I have this thing, whenever I am wrongly accused of something, instead of being able to defend myself, I either cry or get this knot of fear in my stomach. I don't know what is the reason or why does this happen, it just happens. Even if I am completely innocent , words fail me and I can not tell the other person the truth. Why does this happen, it has happened to me for as long as I remeber. Does this happen to you too? what do you all do when this kind of confrontation occurs?

I have a similar reaction, i usually get completely tongue tied and go bright red, which makes me look as though i have done something wrong! i'm quite shy around new people so i think it probably has something to do with that. although if somebody does something wrong to me, i can't react to that either, i never start arguments, i just walk away no matter what the person has done, i think i'd do just about anything to avoid confrontation! xxx

I feel fear, in such situations and really can not figure out why? Like tomorrow his boss's wife has called me ansd I am pondering if anything that I had said or done might land me in soup. While I have no reason to be afraid of her bt I am. I am usually confident but in such unpredicatble situations I really do not know how to react.

Hi gabs I would really like to know how ou changed yourself. Today at the meeting I handled ,myself fairly well but yes the boss's wife didn't believe me but at least I didn't sucumb to my emotions and could focus myself on the facts of the situation. I was quite proud of myself for that.

In my case... when i am wrongly accused of something... i can immediately defend myself... which made me think that i should have been a lawyer... and when there are certain confrontations that i need to face... i tend to be very good at them... i even made some people cry... because i usually become unforgiving and a little harsh... because most of the time... my name is at stake so i need to defend myself the best way that i can...
I hope someday you will learn how to do that...

hi, mansha
i am so glad to know that i am not the only one who looks guilty when accused wrongly :-/
i also defend myself but i am afraid that my protests would just sound lame. i also squirm...just like a guilty person.
not good huh?
take care and have a nice day, mansha! see ya around!
