how would you describe your desktop background/wallpaper right now?

i recently did an overhaul of how my computer looks. several weeks ago, the theme was girlish, so i had pink all over the place. i got bored with the overly bright colors so i decided to switch to the standard black.
it's as plain as can be (see screenshot), but i took the effort to locate black sidebar gadgets to match the theme (not all sidebar gadgets are displayed. those three are the most useful for me).
how about you? care to share/describe how your desktop looks right now?

The current wall paper that I have is an inverted color of a panda that I got from a logo of this skateboarding brand, I think its the board's logo itself. enjoi would be the brand. Then, the back ground of the image is also black. I'll try to provide an image..
For the appearance, of the desktop or color scheme, I'm using Royal Noir so that it also complements that black wall paper..

For me, I would also like a clear desktop without those icons, so much as I would like to appreciate some of the desktop images that I sometimes use but, I'm not the only one using the computer and others would just install some applications or store there files at the desktop so that it would be readily available for them to find.. (^_^")

nice. i like the basic black, not the gaudy wallpapers that most people have. although if it was me i wouldn't have so many things on my desktop i'm obsessive-compulsive about my desktop containing nothing, even the recycle bin. i have tune up utilities, by the way, and it handles my windows appearance (desktop, logon and bootscreen appearance). i hope i can post a screenshot of my logon and bootscreen here. i think you'd like it. it's the basic black also

As best I can work out, she's Eastern European, blonde, about 5'2", with a lovely pair of cheeks and a really sultry smile. Her name is (so they say) Elena, and she's really very cute. But if you ask me again on Monday there will be a new fille du semaine to describe. Hmmm. Maybe a peek preview. Ah yes, a brunette American playmate called Nicole. My love life is never boring lol.

PS My partner has a blonde American playmate who is smoking a pipe, very phallic of her.

Well this past Feb. for our anniversary we went to Branson, Mo. We went and visited the Hollywood Wax Museum, there was a scene from Star Trek with Capt.Kirk and Spock, so my husband got over there by them and I took a picture of them, so thats whats on my desktop right now, the picture of my husband and kirk and spock. He wasn't supposed to be in there, but we took it real quick before someone came by...lol.

Well I like to customize the looks on my desktop using TuneUp Utilities 2008. I love the royal theme blue which can be downloaded in www.belchfire.com. I always use this theme for my customers as default look and they love it too.

My current desktop is off my lovely cute, nine week old Grandson Reece. He is so adorable and when I miss him I just look at it and it makes me smile. Before he was born my desk top picture was off 'Take That' the pop group for about a year, but I am loving the Reece one. Can I add it on here?

I see that you have a graphic background. I too like graphics, and so I also have a graphic background...that of Windows Vista. I've attached it with this post so you can see what it looks like. My OS happens to be Windows XP but I find this Vista background quite stylish so I have decided to adopt it for use. I've not changed this PC wallpaper for several months now, and I'll probably keep it for another couple of months more before refreshing it with something else.

Thanks. Bluish-black perhaps might be more appropriate. If it's very black, then the graphic features will disappear into the background. It's the graphic, not so much the color, that I think is appealing. I am usually on the lookout for beautiful and eye-catching graphics.

Hey kayedanda! First let me ask you who is that adorable
baby in your avatar? I see it all the time and I just
have to ask who that sweet little face belongs to! Ok,
back to your question about the wallpaper! I have a lovely
scene of beautiful clear blue water and a blue sky with
clouds and a tiny little island with palm trees on it.
I think there is a sail boat too! I love to look at it
and wish that I could be there! I keep saying that I will
change it but I just don't! I love to stare at it and
pretend that I am on that little tiny island!

i neverf really bother about my desk top as I have s many windows open that I hardly ever see my desk top. i only keep it neat and free fromclutter so that i do not have to keep searching. i keep my files neatly tucked away in foldrs in D Drive so that i do nothave to move them if I format my C drive.

i guess its really performance over graphics quality for some. i'd go for the latter though, but thankfully, with my current pc specs, i wouldn't have to compromise any of the two

It has all icon only on the upper left corner and the wallpaper that I have is kinda psychedelic fantasy or something that would feel like dreaming after staring for it for a while. Window borders are basic though, turned display to best performance instead or best quality

My desktop is positively ghoulish. When the moon rises tonight, I expect it will turn vampirish (is that a word?). I'm not too worried though, because I belive that after today, it will turn quite turkeyandstuffingish....lol

the wallpaper of my desktop are always picture of my children. i change it everytime there is a cute picture os them. now that we have a baby in the house the new photos of the baby is always at the one on the desktop as background. it is nice to watch the developement and grwoth of the child as it gets bigger and bigger everyday. now that he knows how to smile in is more cute to look at his picture.

i'm in the office right now so my desktop is the company values. although my computer right now has a plain blue background with a mettallic part on the left side which resembles water (more of a calm water then you threw a stone -- the effect of that is how my desktop wallpaper is).

if i am not into anything flashy, i usually just settle for a background that has water in it (i.e. the beach, a lake or whatever). it's calming for me :)

Hello there! My wallpaper right now is a digital scrapbook layout which I did for my 7-month old niece. It was taken a week ago and I did the page a day after it was taken. She is lying in her bed with her two hands up. She is really cute. I used pink and violet as theme for the scrap page, because she is wearing pink. I put her name at the right side and put the date when the photo was taken. There are also a few embellishments at both sides of the photo. I also have my sidebar here, only reflecting the clock, calendar, notes and photo slides. I have a few shortcuts in my desktop because I don' want it to be too crowded.

i wish i could see a screenshot shortcuts in my desktop are a no-no. ever since, i didn't like anything on my desktop. i even hide the recycle bin i think you can call me OC about that. i go nuts when somebody else uses my computer and leaves desktop shortcuts behind.

not really. some very interesting people i know just have the default background on their pcs/laptops too. it just depends on how much time and energy you are willing to waste on such a thing as desktop appearance.
