I believe that it has a bit to do with the actors but more so based around what the children and teenagers of this generation would envision themselves being wizards, fighters against the lord voldemort, living in a castle in england and taking classes in the hogwarts school it is a shame that there was no way to make more of these films in the genre of fantasy / magic, because it is this movie that I think makes people look up to Harry Potter and the rest of the cast and crew as role models or idols and hoping that they could be like them I mean who wouldn't want to ride the Nimbus 3000 or take part in the tri wizard tournament its all part of the magical world of Harry Potter that only a mastermind like J.K Rowling could envision, plot, and bring to life through the technology of special FX and actors that know what they need to do

I like Harry Potter, books and the movies. I am expecting the next movie. Compared the movies with the books, I prefer the books better. Because the books give me more imagination, amd there are so many things you cannot see in the movies. The bookd give you more details.

I think the series is famous for the books and the story. The film is just for people who are so lazy reading books. Of course the actors contribute to the good film due to their acting, but it would not make sense without the story. The story of the world of Harry Potter is vast and very worthwhile. IMO. Oh yes, the effects are very nice, especially the fifth one. Have a nice day.

I think that the Harry Potter movies are popular not due to the actors or the visual effects but because they actually have a great script. I am not sure how involved the author has been in the conversion of the books to the movie scripts but I would bet she was very involved. A good script will carry a movie once the audience is in the seats. It may take actors or visual effects to get them in the seats in the first place. Another great thing about the Harry Potter movies is that I think the audiences truly enjoy the good guys and bad guys of the movies. They keep the plot interesting without while keeping the good guys good and the bad guys bad. I think movie goers get dragged down by the tendency of Hollywood to make the characters to complex.
