Would you rather have people fear you or respect you??

I would rather have respect. Only because I was raised with that aspect.
But I think it would be cool to have some people fear you.. But doesnt go hand in hand with each other? If people fear you wouldnt they have to respect you also?
What would you rather have.. People fear you or respect you?

When people respect you they dont resent you. Fear makes people have feelings of resentment and negative feelings towards you. People who respect you are loyal for the right reasons.Respect being a positive and fear being a negative.People who respect you will be more inclined to help you where people who fear you, will only do what they feel they have to do and all for the wrong reasons. I dont want to be feared but I do want to have peoples respect. Respect is something you earn and get because you deserve it and that comes from doing what it is right.1 person likes this

Hi ginnypetree,
I rather have people respect me and love me, I don't want people to fear me as they don't know musch me and fear me, no I want to be friendly with and love me with that comes respect.
