Why women live longer than men?

I guess this is the reason why there are more women than men in the world. I never bothered to find out why women last longer than men. Cheers!!

I think alot of women take better care of their health and get regular checkups and screenings. Alot of men do not do that.

Maybe women has more stamina than men or they lead a more healtier life style than men. I think that being the "provider" in a family causes more stress on the husband than the wife. © ronaldinu 2008

Women are always on the move and they try to be optimistic. Women are multitaskers: they watch the children, clean the house, go to work (whether your a stay at home mom or go to an actual job), and do various other activities then men. Men go to work, then come home and watch sports. Or men may go out with their buddies and just hang around. There are plenty of men who have two jobs and create stress that may effect them. Men do not know how to deal with their stress or talk about their problems like women do. So they bottle their feelings up inside them for years and it doesn't come out until much later. Women handle their stress in a counselor's office or with their friends. Women are also very health conscious and try to take care of themselves. Men avoid going to the doctor until it is too late and they get devastating news about an illness. Women don't try to sweat the small stuff and they try to have fun. This is what I believe and I hope it helps.
