last night, i witness an accident between a car and a motorcycle. the rider is badly injured while the driver is not. i am sorry for the rider as it was not his fault but rather the fault of the driver who had beaten the red light. i am disturb at the fact that rider has little protection unlike the driver who is in a car. this is not the only accident i had seen. the worst i witnessed was a school boy rider a bicycle pinned under a bus. it was fatal and the boy died on the spot. it was really horrible and disturbing when i saw it. i do not wish to see it again. i hope that all drivers and users of the road be careful.

First of all Congratulations on achieving your second milestone, i see that you have completed 500 posts.
I have seen an accident and have been involved in an accident. The accident i saw involved a young lad roaring on his bike, went and hit a divider and was just thrown off and smashed to the ground. I can never forget that sight, such a waste! i wish people are a little more careful especially with the kind of roads we have.
The one i was involved in was where i was driving and had to stop suddenly as the police stopped me in the middle to make way for the pedestrians inspite the light remaining green.while i stopped a jeep came from behind and banged into my car with such force that my car got dragged about 50 meters, and the headache involved was enormous as he had neither an insurance nor a licence, he just started running away, was caught by the others and handed over to the police.i had some bruises on my forehead, lips, and hands, and the car was completely smashed in from the behind..it was a nightmarish experience!

thank you. i did not noticed i had already reach 500. thanks for reminding me. i witness an accident involving a motorcyclist too. it was real bad, just like what u saw. the road was slippery and i think and suspect the rider was a young man cos he was speeding real fast and past me as if i was stationary and i was already driving at 70-80 and i could sense trouble cos there is a bend ahead and i knew he is going to lose control and i was right. the whole bike skidded and he flew off the road and hit onto a tree. i could not bear the sight and did not stop to look but i knew if was really bad. i call the police immediately but left the place after calling. i could not stand looking at the rider as inside me i was afriad for the worst and i do not want to see it. well, i thought the policeman in your incident should be held responsible for stopping traffic abruptly, dun u think so?

Oops that was a bad experience. It is very painful when it happens in front of your eyes and you are so helpless about it.I can imagine what you must have felt at that time..
yes what you say is right, the police has a way of doing it,may be signal from a distance so that you dont have to stop suddenly especially when the green light is on, but tell that to them ...i did tell him about it and he said that the ladies waiting to cross the road were harrassing him , as they had been waiting for a long time. That was his excuse, because the light turns every 50 seconds and i done see how that can be a long time ??

I was in a car accident when I was four. I used to like to put my ear against the window because it was cooler (I've sat in the front passenger seat for as long as I can remember). One day, when we were about to turn left, a truck from the other side continued going straight (even though it was a red light). It hit right into my side of the car. The bone behind my ear was dented (I don't really remember what happened to my actual ear though) and my mother sustained major neck and back injuries. Since then, I've recovered fully but my mother still suffers from those injuries. Needless to say, I've never put my ear against the window ever since.

i was crossing the street about 20 years ago and ended up being hit by a car and flying off the hood of the car and landed on my knees. now 20 years later, i am really suffering from those injuries and am waiting to get knee replacement surgery on both of my knees.

I know how you feel. I've been in an accident 3 years ago. And you have to believe me, if my bf wasn't there, I would have lost both legs. I went to eat in a restaurant during lunchtime with my boyfriend near college. On my way back for school, there were stop signs and there was a lady driving from the front direction. And a fireman truck coming from the right side but that truck was far away. And the car didn't have any light signals that she wanted to turn or something so i crossed the street with my bf. Then the car suddenly turned in my direction. It happened really fast. All I remember was my boyfriend screaming my name and he pulled me out of there. The car still hitted me on the backbone tail. My shoe went flying 5m away from me. I never though it would hapenn to me. The fireman truck stop near me soon and they gave me a cover since it was winter and they called the police and an ambulance. The driver was a teeanger. She told me: "don't worry. Everything will be fine. This is not my first time." At first, I didn't grab what she was saying because I was more concern with my back. It was nothing serious though...I just couldn't walk for 3 days/no school. I wish drivers would be more carefull indeed. What is the point or rushing to gain 2 or 3 min in exchange or a risk to get into killing someone or yourself? Everyone has a long life in front of time. that 3 min won't change much.

ooh...that was frightening wasn't it. it could have been worse but lady luck shine on you. great for you and i think after that incident, you must be taking extra precaution on the road now. i agree with you that rushing for that extra 2-3 mins isnt worth it and may put ownself or others into danger

I have had a serious bike accident once. It was raining very heavily ans i was riding on my bike back home. A dog came running from nowhere ,i applied brakes to save it and my bike skid. i was hurt badly and fractured my left hand. Thank God , i am fine now and i drive my bike very carefully now.

bikers always suffer on the road, this i have observed. they are afffected by many factors, like poor road conditions, poor and uneven surface and they always come out 2nd best in an accident cos they literally have little protection apart from their helmet. so bikers have to exercise more caution than other road users.

luckily, i haven't experienced an car accident.but i did really witnessed a crash between a bus and a motorcycle.but i am afraid i can't give a detail description because it is hard for me to remember clearly.it is just kind of horrible.
not only the driver but also the passenger should be 100% careful on the road.

yes. involving in an accident is horrible esp at high speed. the victims are usually those passer-by, riders and cyclists who have least protection

I have been in a car accident.
It wasn't nice.
It was with my father, we drove along the road, and then we made a curve, but little bit too fast, and we went on sidewards.. it was quite awful
And then we hit a tree with the side where I was sitting, and I didn't felt my arm little time.
But we ended up quite luckily , because we were ok and we changed the car door.

fortunately for u. it could be worse but glad both of you are fine. high speed round bend is always a danger esp if the performance of the car is not too good. suspension, stability play important part
