What is the first thing you do upon reaching the office or any work area?

I would say "good evening" to all my fell staffs upon reaching, and then I would clean my table, and the things I use i.e. computer, mouse, etc. Then I drink one tea to refresh my mind in the cool morning.

Hi, the first thing I do when I arrive at the office, is to switch on my computer and check on my emails. I seldom clean my workstation - once in a while, I would organise it. I've a lot of these document trays, that I dump these paper & documents in for later reference.

LAst year and a few months ago, I was working in an office most of the time because sometimes I'm on field. The first thing I do when I go up on the few steps I always peek inside the first office to see if anybody is already there and say good morning and also say good morning to the second office before I reach my office. I will switch on the ceiling fan and then the box fan. The caretaker has already cleaned the rooms so I do some wipong on the desk and sometimes the monitor and the printer and or the laptop. Then I check mails, snail mails and emails and after that go about the daily activities.

I had a decent-sized workdesk in my office before. It's about the only thing I miss in my workplace after I left to become full-time freelance. Anyway, the first thing I do when I sit on my workdesk is to get my things in order. I worked as an editor and all my files are digital so there's virtually no paperwork in my desk to take care of. I turn on the music software, put on my headphones, play some music to get the mood running and then I start to work. That makes up my start-of-the-day routine.
