i think you're very brave learning a whole new language, sounds like these guys are idiots. im Brittish and my english sometimes isnt fantastic and ive been speaking it my entire life.

What an extremely bad attitude for someone to have. My wife is using mylot to improve her English skills as it is her second language also. Heaven help anyone that dares to put her down for trying! I hope you told this idiot where to go and stick his own head Tushavi!

it is very rude way that he talked with you. i think its really bad.nobody can say anyone stupid just you are not too fluent in taht language. taht operson have this as mother tingue, where you do not.

One stereotype in this world is that a person's intelligence is measured with his ability to speak English. Maybe because USA is such a powerful country and it is a person's advantage if she/he can communicate well in English. But I dont think it really is a parameter to say that one is intelligent or not. For me it is just an advantage.

That person is so wrong and rude. After all, English isn't our first language. If we still keep on studying it and others can understand, I think it'll be good already. We are not going to be a writer or something like that. If he could abuse you like that, then you could ask him that he was the same fool as he didn't know your language at all. Certainly whether one knows a laguage or not, can be a parameter whether he is stupid or not. That fellow proved himself a poor idiot by his behaviour. I also met an American lady, She was so kind and helped me a lot. Her attitude was so good. If i would make a mistake, i would blush....... she used to tell me then that ..hey friend you can at least say something in my language, but I can say nothing in your language...!!! I think he made a spelling mistake,he probably meant to say:"I am such a stupid person, because my empathy with other people is too bad" Calling you stupid is a sign of his own stupidity. Improving your English is a always a good idea and the internet can be a great help. I would definately encourage you to continue despite this experience. By the way, I don't think that your English is bad. English is not my first language either, and I can't write perfect English, but I think that it's important to write, chat etc anyway because that is a great way of practicing your English.

English is a really hard language to pronounce. I am English, Not American. Why do they said that?Just because don't good at English?They are ignorant!Although English is important,they shoudn't say that!They can speak English just because they were born in United States!You should ask them,can you speak others language beside English?I think they can't.Don't care what they said,you are good,you are learning second language hard,you will speak English well.They are just stupid,the people who said others stupid is the most stupid.

I believe that anybody who understand someone either in English or what language it is don't have the right to say bad words like what he has told you. Even though he is a native English spoken he has no right to sat that words. For humanitarian reason I mean. For as long as you understand what you are trying to tell let it be. 90% of US people can talk english only (except the different ethnic groups, like mexicans, pororicans, aisans, and so on). And lot of them with lot of errors. And due how much easily they trust lies (remember the iraqui "massive destriction weapons"?) seems their IQ is not on the top of the globe rating ;) So don't worry, at least you know 2 languages, not so many americans can say the same ;) Have you ever saw an american tourist? They always look so surprised that in the other parts of the world we use different languages! ;)
