I have two names and it sounded like an old person. I don't like it because it's really pretty common. My bf's brother's gf has the same name too so it's kinda annoying I asked my mom why she gave me that name, she told me that she got my name by the famous actress before. But she said if i was a boy, she would name me EUGENE. Hmmm...that's a pretty name for me eventhough i'm a girl i would love it!

Actually I don't have any strong opinion on my name. This is because my name is not ugly. But if I can choose my own name, maybe I would have chosen a different one because my name sounds like a foreign country's name. I would rather sound like a local citizen than a neighboring country's name.
It feels odd and sometimes embarrassing because at times people would make joke of my name. They will look at my face and said I do look like the people from the neighboring country and I shouldn't be here in my country. At first I didn't believe it but when there are many people who said I look like the neighboring people and name is similar to them, I am not satisfied.
But the name is not ugly and I accept it because it is already my name. I can't do anything about it and I think my name is unique and classy. The pronunciation is nice too.

I guess I have no trouble with the name that my parents gave me.. though I really don't resemble the person from whom my name was taken from, I'm okay with it. The nick name that I got from it too doesn't comply to how I am but, it sounds nicer to what my parents gave me as a name. Wouldn't you have a nich name that sounds better than that of what your parents gave you...?

Hi there Amber!
Yes, I do like my name even though it is pretty common. It was given by my Aunt and I like it.

I didn't use to like it specially when I was a whole lot younger. It doesn't sound good and all my other classmates have English names and mine is Spanish sounding and they don't pronounce my name the right way so it sounds even worse. But then I share the same dilemna with you. I can't change it. lol. By the way what's that dog you're holding?

Wow. This question struck me. Nobody asks me this before. Honestlr, I do not like my name (my mom can not read this anyway). I want a spanish name, like Maria Clara or Rosalinda maybe. Filipinos had been colonized by Spaniards for years. They contribute much to our customs. My name is a westernized one. Well, I've been used to hearing my name, and it still sounds sweet.
