Hello My Lotters! It has been quite a long time since I have been here. When I left I was having some concentration and memory problems. My family began to notice that my language use was faltering. I decided to take matters in hand and went for Alzheimer's Testing. The results came back. I Won!! Well it was not actually a win, but I was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the early stage and was prescribed a low dose of Aricept. Another reason that I stopped posting as much as I was is that I caught myself becoming involved in flame wars of a sort. This is NOT my personality and is NOT who I am. I am so ashamed that I allowed myself to be drawn into this type of behavior. The last thing I want to add with this post is that in the next few days, few weeks, or however long it takes; I will be streamlining my "friends" list. Please don't think it is because I no longer care. Unfortunately (and this is so embarrassing), it is because I cannot remember many of you. I am totally overwhelmed at the amount of friends that I have. I will also be streamlining my "interests" list. Good Grief! I had no idea that I was interested in so many things.;-) If you find that I have deleted you as a friend and you want me to remember you, please again request my friendship. I do remember that before I automatically responded with a YES to everyone that requested and that became a problem. I will check new requests to make sure they aren't selling (I know that isn't the right word but can't remember what it is that I am meaning) something before I say YES. Otherwise I will be responding to Best Discussions and New Posters (again, not what they are called, but I do know how to find them). Happy Election Day!~ (I do remember who I was going to vote for. LOL)

Hello my dear dear Donna. The place hasn't been the same without you. I wish I could find the words to give you comfort and peace...you have been having such a difficult time of things...and you have been missed and cared about. A lot of us seem to have been making adjustments to friends lists and so on...it's par for the course I guess. The place has become rather dull for me just of late...so many folk are MIA, most of them unwell and I miss them so. I'm very happy to see you...and happy too to send some loving hugs. xxx

Awwww your so sweet... i didn't honestly expect you to remember me somehow, though i'm so glad you did... I've missed your discussions but i work so much i just don't have time to come on and look for any and they don't get sent to my email anymore for some reason... How are you doing? how are you feeling? If you have msn or something, even facebook, it would be great to talk when you get the chance :) i'd love to catch up.

Oh My, I was so happy to see your name in my email. I am so sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope and pray that the medicine helps you. I am glad it was caught and diagnosed in the early stages, hopefully that will help with the treatment. I did get your message from Slickcut, it made my heart go pitter pat, hehe. I am not going to get mushy, but it did make me feel special. I hope you can visit here more often, I do miss you. Your one of my favorite people here on mylot. Lions, Tigers & Bears Oh MY, I say that with the kids while walking thru the woods, it makes it more of an adventure. Take care, it truly is nice to see you.

I'm sorry to hear that you have Alzheimer. I think you ares till pretty sharp for someone who is in the early stage of this. My grandmother was just diagnosed with Alzheimer but she seems to already have lost it before the results came in. We play along with all the stories she make up all the time. It is sad to watch her go through that but it is one of those things in life you just can't avoid. Good luck to you and stay sharp like you already are.

It is good that you were able to detect the Alzheimer's in its early stage... there is a very good chance that it can be treated... you are quite brave in going through the test... some people would just shrug it off until it is too late... There is always hope... and more and more advances in medicine are being made with regards to alzheimer's so it is good that you can treat is early... good luck to you... and you will always be in my prayers...

I can sympathize with you on the memory loss. I am coming back from about two years of severe depression. It still bothers me and I have good and bad days. But, alas, my memory is shot! Part of it is old age and I just have to buck up but, the other is the pits and not much you can do about it. The true friends will understand the forgetfulness. The others are of little importance.
