Hello
I am looking to buy a digital camera that is like an SLR but not as expensive.
Iv seen the fujifilm Finpix S5800 and its cheap but from what iv seen has everything I need.
I was just wondering if anyone had this camera and had examples of photographs taken with it.
Or any suggestions of good cameras please

For general photography, this is a fine camera. But you wanted something "like an SLR"; while this looks like an SLR and is a good cmera, it can't match SLR output if you want to work with large prints or in poor light.
If you understand the limitations of compacts and can work within them, your should be happy with the Fuji.

OK thanks. I cant afford an SLR so it looks like im going to have to have this one. So far iv only been taking photos on my mobile phone which has a 5MP camera on it and that produces some nice photos for me. So this camera will be a big step up for me.
Thanks for the help

A very big step up! My first digital camera was a 4mp superzoom not that much different to the Fuji, and it was good enough that I abandonned my film SLR to use it exclusively. Eventually I bought a digital SLR, but cameras like these are a great alternative.

Have you got an online portfolio of your photos? which SLR have you got?
