This is my loved Beaqgle BUSTER.
He is on his bed which he loves as you can clearly see.
I try to keep him off the furniture is one reason I bought this pillow for him.
I hate the fur all over the furniture.
A few less things to vaacuum actually this way.
Do you have a pillow/bed for your dog/cat/pet(s)?
What is the reasoning in having this bed for your pet?
Do you allow them on your furniture at all?

I bought a little blankie for my cat, which is supposed to generate heat. Cats love to be warm and fuzzy. One of my cats used it for about two weeks, then stopped, the other cat wasn't interested in it at all. They would rather curl up pn the couch, chair, bed or window sill.
You doggie looks very content, Buster is smart he knows a good thing when he sees it
Yes, and the fur is out of control, I have two long hairs, the vacuum stays out, because it not stop.
Have a great day.

My two canine babies have to stay outside in the back yard, since they both have an affinity for killing/mauling cats (of which I have a whole herd as you know LOL). But they both have gotten just about every spare comfy blanket I have for their dog houses. I even gave up one of my dad's old blankets for Buddy. When Meg was still alive, she had an egg crate cushion, a sheet, AND one of my big fluffy comforters for her bed. I think though, if she hadn't been so old, she would have found a way to climb up on my bed and sleep with me. LOL! As for the cats, they pretty much take over my bed or the sofa. THEY boss ME around. Hahaha

Buster has a dog house outside.
I also added a comforter/blanket for him in that as well.
So curious question, do neighbor kids call you the crazy cat lady like the Simpsons?

Hi Grandpa Bob..
My Boxer is always on the furniture...I have mine covered....She uses the furniture more than we do...LOL
Now at night my Akita and Boxer both sleep in my son's king size bed...I put a blanket on the bed just for them...of course this is when my son is not here...
As far as buying them a bed....No I never have...

Buster is allowed on the bed only if he is asked to.
He knows better than to be there when we don't say so.
He comes in the bedroom at night but lies on the floor at the foot of the bed.

Thats one thing I hate to do is vaccum fur off the furniture. Our dogs are all outside pets, but sometimes we will let one of them in, he's my pet, but I don't let him on the furniture, he has to stay on the floor, I don't have a bed for him tho. We used to have an old couch that we would let the dogs get on, but we threw it out and bought a new one, so they aren't getting on the new one...lol.

I try to keep him off the furniture.
But I don't like locking him up in his kennel when I'm away from the house.

Great photo, Grandpa Bob. Buster looks so cozy lying there. Anna Belle is long haired, so she does shed a lot, and especially at certain times of the year. I place an old comforter on my bed (on top of my good one), each morning. I then place her special blanket near the head of the bed. She heads upstairs every afternoon, for a major nap there. This is her favourite resting place. As a matter of fact, she's there right now. I also have a pet basket on a chest at the foot of my bed, which she likes also. In the evening, she comes downstairs and lays beside me on the couch. She loves to have her tummy rubbed. She also manages to get on both the couch and love seat, when we're out. I discourage her from doing that, unless I'm sitting beside her. We do have a special brush that works really well, for removing her hair from the furniture too.

I have to lock Buster up some nights in his kennel.
Last night when I went to sit on the couch there was a huge wet spot.
He tends to lick the furniture a lot and that's what it was.
Ewwww! Nasty!.

Yuck! I wonder what makes pets do what they do, sometimes. Maybe he just likes the smell of the couch?

Aww...Buster looks sweet. When I was doing some cleaning out of papers from a very large plastic storage container I had, I was able to throw most of the papers out and stored them elsewhere. Since the container was still in great condition decided to make it as a bed for my two kitties...I then place one of my older large pillows in it and covered it with a pillowcase that I change often and clean. It's big enough for the two kitties to snuggle in together if they want. As far as the rest of my place. Are you kidding? My two kitties have the run of the place and pretty much settle wherever they want...the sofa, my bed...in fact, the two are on my bed now snoozing...and on the nice CLEAN sheets I just put on...LOL

What clean sheets? lmao I bet they are full of kitty fur by now, pye. When you have pets, there is no such thing as clean sheets. Even if you don't allow your pets on the furniture, they still make it by their fur being transported on your clothes. lol

Yes we have pet beds all over our house for any of our pets to use. Having 10 cats and 3 dogs, we need them all! We do let them on the furniture but the furniture is vacuumed every week so it's all cared for and clean. Now when we had bigger dogs, they weren't allowed on the furniture because they took up too much space. Another reason we vacuum the furniture is because of crumbs and lent and what ever else gets under the cushions and that causes bugs and that isn't going to happen!! lol

That's a lot of fur to fly at one time.
I can barely manage just Buster yet alone 10 cats and 3 dogs.

hi GRANDPA BOB,
I have two cats and they stay outside most of the time, b ut when they are in, they never stay in the same place so its no use having a bed for them, they loves to sleep on the foot stool or on my side table where I keep my books and now he has knocked it a down to put his precious bot on it, or he would sleep near my laptop on the coffee table.

hiya bob! well, i have two cats and as you may know, cats think they have the run of the house and can do whatever they want! mine are no different. my one cat likes to sleep in the spare bedroom on the bed, and she is black and the down comforter in there is white, so you can guess how that looks! luckily for her it is just a spare, because it looks as if it is a black comforter now! lol i also have one couch in the living room that i have taken to piling laundry on that needs to be folded, and of course they want to lay all over the clean clothes. it drives me nuts! the other cat is medium-hair mixed. neither of them shed as badly as i would have expected- it's just when they are laying somewhere that their hair tends to come off all over. vacuuming is a losing battle! lol

I used to have a cat, he had his own bed, but he always liked to lie on my spare bed, so I bought a great big furry blanket to put over it. My mum has a little dog, she has a pillow, but I have never seen her laying on it ever. I think animals think they are humans and just copy us. I am glad Buster likes his pillow. Yes fur on the furniture is hard to get off. My cat casted like mad and I had to vacuum daily. Do not allow your animals on the furniture. You have have your dog trained well. Well done.

I hate fur everywhere period. I have two dogs that shed, but our beagle Ladybug sheds the most. Her fur is on things that she has never came in contact with. So, I'm like what's the point if she gets on the bed or the couch, because the fur will find a way there. Ladybug and Shiloh will sleep on the bed with us when my husband is home, because he feels bad about her not being able to jump on the bed anymore. Now when he's working, and I'm already in bed, she might as well kiss it up. We do have a bean bag with a blanket over it that she will lay on. Shiloh being so young, she will jump on the bed no matter what.
I read somewhere, the reason dogs sheds more than normal is because their shedding process gets messed up when they are inside dogs. It doesn't know when they are suppose to stop, so they shed all year long.

I do not have an inside dog anymore. We do have a chocolate lab that stays outside though. Hubby built a nice dog house for her and she loves to lay in there. When the sun is shining she likes to lay in the sun but she also loves to play in water. We have a big thing that holds her water and when she drinks it she will put her feet and whatever she can get in it. We have to change her water everyday. When we did have an inside dog she was allowed on our furniture cause she didn't shed very much.

Hi Grandpa Bob...Buster is really cute on his bed.. My whoppie have also pillow to sleep too but maybe she wants to be in a cooled place she don't want to lie on her pillow she only place her head there and her body lie all over the floor. But she really loves to sleep on my daughters bed only when I'm not around ehehheh.

I have a kennel that Petie sleeps in during the night and during the day Abagail sleeps in it. It seems like there is always a pet in the bed. We say that Abagail needs to check out the wall paper and make sure Petie has not redecorated. heehee
Here is a photo of Abagail in Petie's bed. My mom crochet the blankets in the bed. Abagail is awake at the time of the photo. She will stay in Petie's bed all day long.

I have cats. They also have beds but they also have other places they like to sleep. Little harder training cats to sleep in their own beds. They actually let me know when its time to go to OUR bed coz they get there before i do. I just mainly try to keep my coats and sweaters hung up out of their way. I dont really see much of their hair around. Except for Sissy whos hair is a little longer than Bubba and Miss Kitty.

I got both my dogs a pet bad. If have to get 2 because the bigger one will always push (playfully) out if there is only one. I do allow our dogs on furniture. I got the beds to help make them sleep in their bed instead of ours. If they sleep in ours they almost push us out of bed. One is 60 pounds and the other is 35 pounds. They are great dogs and are like our kids, but they do love to be right where we are. So far the pet beds are a hit, but still some time in the middle of the night they end up making them selves at home in the bed with us. Sneaky, but cleaver on their half, lol! I do agree that I hate to run the sweeper more often when it's their time to shed (2 times a year about a month or 2 each time. I still love them though!!!
