okay. first i just want to say that i will not do any shopping this year, so i am just curious about how other people are faring with regards to this annual end-of-the-year shopping thing. are you done shopping? or are you just getting started? now that the only major special occasions to look forward to are Christmas and New Year (except, of course, personal occasions), i think this topic is a fitting one to start.
so, how's your Christmas shopping list? did you shop early or like to feel the holiday rush by starting just now?

I know what you mean a lot of people start there Christmas shopping early especially people who have a lot of people on their list that they have to shop for, like if you have a big family,or a lot of friends that you buy Christmas presents for,my mother usually starts her Christmas shopping early since she usually has a big list of people to buy for,and she does not like waiting until the last minute to do her Christmas shopping, this year she was considering not doing Christmas because she is having teeth pulled at the beginning of December so she will not feel good and they will not have a whole lot of money, but she decided we are still going to put out the Christmas decorations, and we are still going to get together with my mothers side and my fathers side of the family at my parents house this year, but we are going to only get together to eat, because we are not exchanging gifts with anyone this year and she said that if anyone shows up with gifts they are not getting in the house and will have to go back home, they were going to buy us a laptop for Christmas but they said the way the economy is they might not be able to afford it this year so me and my fiance are thinking about asking for a few smaller things to help save them money, and we are the only ones they are going to buy presents for,and my grandparents might buy us something but there is no telling.

Hi kayedanda! How's that little cutie with the big eyes doing?
I am not doing alot of shopping this year either. I will only
be buying gifts for my boyfriend and probably 2 or 3 of my
closest girlfriends. I am not working so I just can't afford
to spend much money. I will only be buying my girlfriends a
little something just to show them that I am thinking about
them because I know that they will be buying me something too.
The only person I have to really worry about is my boyfriend.
This is the first year that we will be celebrating Christmas
together and he is looking forward to having a big celebration
for alot of reasons. So I really want to make it very special
for him,

When I passed by any store or stall, I look for things and when I got something and remembered my loved ones that I know they will like it ot it looks good on them, I will bought it for them but I haven't give it to them yet... I'll wait until christmas comes. I'm not into rushing things, I just like what I'm doing right now... When I see one, I'll buy one for christmas gifts.
I haven't have my budget for christmas shoppings yet but
I've already start my shopping but I bought things piece per piece.

Hi kayedanda!
Oh well, I haven't started my Christmas shopping yet. I wish I could this weekend but something came up. I need to go to my relatives in the nearby province for my cousin's wedding. Maybe next weekend, when I already have enough money to spare. I actually am not planning to buy anything for myself. I will just buy gifts for my family and godchildren. And yes, my Christmas tree. I will finally buy a new one.

Not yet. I haven't receive my 13th month pay yet. I'm waiting for it so I can start shopping for the gifts I'll give to my loved ones and friends. But I prepared a long list already of those who I will give my special presents. ^^,

I am also not doing any Christmas shopping as neither my fiance nor I can afford to buy any presents for anyone. I know that we both feel a little bit upset that we can afford to buy any presents but we are saving money for our future, and I think our family understands that. Also, I am not sure about my own, but I know that his family will not be swapping presents this year because of the economy and the way things are going.
I think that that is great though as we are still getting together just no gift swap!

Well I don't usually start my shopping till around the first part of December, I don't like shopping, so I put it off as long as I can. I know because of the economy I've had to shorten my list a little bit, I have to be in the Christmas Spirit first...lol.

I have not done any Christmas shopping yet. I dont think I will still do a lot of shopping. I need to save. Life has been difficult for the past months. We need to tighten our belts.

Hello my friend. This year I will have to limit the shopping. Im a student trying to save on his own to get an apartment next year. That will be my ultimate christmas gift. But i will scurry around and try to find some inexpensize nick nacks for my mom two sisters and niece. My friends dont really have to receive anything. My budget has really been cut short.
Its very hard to save in new york city, especially with the reccession going on.And apartments in new York arent very cheap.
I really have to watch my spending limit. But it wont be hard to shop for my family.
My mom is really open and is very thankful of whatever she recieves. My mom loves to decorate her house. so im
thinking about getting her something for her house where she use it to spice the place up a bit. lol. My sisters i will probably get them some nice beautiful handbags
and maybe some cute boots to match. We will see what happens. As for myself, im putting myself on punishment for shopping heavily on ebay last month. So basically i have everything
that I need. But I WILL be sure to spread the christmas love and take care of my family.
