I once googled my name on google.com, find it's very interesting. I realize many people in this word just share the same name with you, even there is some one having the same surname and given name with you. I just googled that a novelist picked up MY name in his book and when you are reading his book, it sounds weird but also funny.
Have you ever googled your name and how many people in the world get the same name with you, even the same surname?

hi dawn!
yup i did! and it turned out all the articles i have written in national publications. the search turned out pretty good results. lol
but as for my husband, he has many namesakes. most of them are artists...like painters and photographers. it is really pretty interesting to do that. at least, i didn't have hits all over the world. hehehe
take care and God bless you! :-)

Yes I have ever done that. and there are 2 pages about my name. One of the results is very interesting, a girl who is the same name to me is doing the same job to me, and her company's product is the same to mine. But her pictures show that she is not me, and I never post that message on line. There are so many coincident.

yes. when i try googling my name, i get my blogs, my official blog, my personal blog, my resume, my photo blog, flickr, etc. that way, i am happy that if someone searches on my name, they get all data about me first rather than someone else with the same name! :) the same applies on yahoo too.

I have done this many a time actually! Aside from the expected results that pop up in regards to my professional activities and business profiles I have found several people throughout history and active in today's world that share exactly the same first and last name as me. One in particular is very actively involved in the gospel industry so it is quite amusing to see my own name associated with this. Another example is a Scottish nobleman from many hundreds of years ago! I haven't searched recently though so I may just do that now to see what else might have been added.

Actually i did and it's called a "vanity search" lol... it's also a bit scary... if you use your name on myspace, facebook, whatever it shows up... which is why i make my profile private on those social networks...
I found a result where someone shared the same first and last name... but totally (and clearly makes sense) does not look like me lol.. if she did then... that would be disturbing!
Try an image search on nicknames people have in your family (just to be safe turn safe search on) i did so with my brother and sister and i got results for poodles for my sister she was pissed, and some weird fish for my brother... he was laughing hehe

Hi dawwaliking, I also did what you have done. it was really interesting to see that there are lots of links with your name. Since my name is Sydney, what appears is of course Sydney Australia, then when I tried to look at the images, I cannot see any picture of mine, what I see is different buildings from Sydney Australia.
