We haven't put up our Christmas tree since my husband and I just got home last Wednesday from the hospital. We were busy preparing for our baby. Now, we are still busy taking care of our newly-born son but we can still accommodate some time for decorating for the coming Holiday season. We will probably ask our helper to put up the Christmas tree this weekend since we will be going to my parents' house and will be spending our weekend there. It is really nice having a Christmas tree in the house. It makes you feel excited about the season.

Here in the Philippines, we decorate as early as October. That's why people say that Christmas season is celebrated longest here.

Not yet my tree is on lay-a-way at walmart. We had to throw our tree out last year it was starting to look pretty raggy. And my at the time 2 year old son jumped straight in it lol.

I also think you need to buy a new one. 15 years is reasonable enough.

I don't know why mom keeps on using that tree. Maybe there's a story behind that tree.

I think we also need a new tree. As far as I remember, it was bought when I was 6 and now I'm 21.

We would really like to set-up our christmas tree but, we have this very hyper nephew at home which would probably try to pick-off those decorations that get hung on the tree.. We even have this steel base for the tree to make it higher.. I still don't know if we'd set-up the tree this coming holiday but, I do hope so. I agree that seeing that tree every end of the year makes things look promising.. (^_^ )

Hehehe, I recall the first time my nephew saw that Christmas tree of ours.. he was like all wide-eyed and amazed to it, even used a stick to touch the lights before actually using his own hands.

No, I have not put it up yet. I may do so, two weeks before Christmas. I just hope that my kids will not tamper with it, especially my three year old daughter.

Guess who's in my family really excited for Christmas? My mother! Haha! One day i got home and was surprised that we have a christmas tree set up already. It's very beautiful! I was the one who bought that christmas tree for my mom 5years ago i think. Well, it's been a tradition for her to put up our christmas tree that early. When did she put it up?? She had it set up on the first day of September!!!

My dad did. My daughter and I live with him while my husband is away working. My daughter is so happy about the Christmas tree. It's the first thing she checks out when she wakes up in the morning. She would play with the Christmas balls and the flower ornaments on it. She watches as the lights dance when it's turned on at night. And we all enjoy watching her going gaga over the tree.

HI there Maroseqf my friend. I was just talkin to my girl 2 days ago and she stated she would like to have a Christmas tree all year long so that we can put our monthly anniversary presents there (if possible) (at her grandma's place here in my city where she is staying for college) and that gave me an idea. Tomorrow she is going home at her parents and she is coming sunday night (i guess) or monday morning so that gives me time to talk to her grandma as i plan to get her to cooperate in helping me buy her a Christmas Tree (even if it's artificial).

Congratulations on your new baby! I just had my second child two months ago. So i know how hectic life can be right now. We have not put up our Christmas tree yet. We always put it up the day after Thanksgiving. My four year old is bugging me to go ahead and put it up but i told him we have to wait since it is tradition in our family. Happy holidays! I hope you enjoy it with your new baby.

No not yet. Isn't it a little to early for that? We usually do that a week or 2 before Christmas. I like having the tree but they always lose their needles and it takes some time to clean up all that stuff. Mostly if you have a carpet.

I appreciate the fact that you are anticipating Christmas. It is a little too early for us to put up our tree. I hope we will get one sometime in December. I usually like the artificial ones myself. It is certainly a beautiful time of year and it makes me happy. I wish you lots of luck with your newborn son. It will be his first Christmas!

We have one at home and boy is it BIG! It reached our (low) ceiling. But that's not he amazing thign about it, our Christmas tree is more decorated that the Christmas trees I see in the lobbies of condos and hotels. Which is saying a lot. Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

We put up our Christmas tree around a week ago. I wasn't really a part of putting up the tree because I'm always at work. I just got home one night and saw that the tree was already up. My parents also helped out decorating some parts of the common areas in our condominium. When I was younger, I used to always help out with the decorations but now that I'm older and working, I don't have that much spare time. Oh well!

Congratulations Maroseqf - I did not look at my lot for a few days and missed that you already had the baby! So how was the experience? Was it painful? Who does the your son look like or is it too soon to tell.... I am so happy for you. Take care.
