Where were you when the election results was announced? I was at work. We have a television in the breakroom and one of my co-workers was in there when it was announced she came out of the breakroom and told me that Obama had won. I told her that fast, I was in the car about 4 minutes ago and he only had 207 electorial votes. So I went in the breakroom and the celebration was on. The rest is history. Do you remember where you were?

I was sitting here at this computer. I was working on a freelance assignment, and I had the television on in the background. It was about this time at night.

Hi chevee! I sure do remember where I was! I was in my livingroom in front of the tv waiting for the announcement because my boyfriend had told me that Obama had 207 electoral votes and it was not even 11:00 yet! I said it was awful early. I had never know an election to end that early ever! So I stopped mylotting and turned the tv on while he went into the shower and sure enough a few minutes later they made the announcement. Obama had won! I screamed to my boyfriend! The next minute my phone was ringing and my girlfriend who I had gone to vote with was calling me and we were screaming! I was so happy! Then I waited to hear McCain's concession speach and I swear that man was relieved! I don't believe he wanted to be President! It was a very nice speach. Then I waited for our President-elect Barack Obama to speak and that was the best! And as you said~history was made!

I was at home watching it on TV. I kinda got bored with it so I started watching a movie that I recorded. Then I fell asleep lol . When I woke up and turned it back to the news channel, I found out it was over.

Yes, I was sitting in my living room , on the couch , watching it as it happened. I felt sick, and then really sad. I went to bed and prayed for our country and went to sleep.!

I was at home, just me and my three cats, and I'd just called my daughter and was talking to her on the phone. We were talking about how it wouldn't be long and about what states Obama had won that Bush had taken in 2000 and 2004 and especially how happy we were that Pennsylvania was still a very blue state. I tend to pace around when I'm on the phone, so I'd left the living room briefly and when I came back in it was on the screen that Obama was projected to be the winner. The celebration begun and my poor kitties thought I'd lost it! Of course, I had to rewind the TV (Thank God for my DVR!) so I could hear my fave commentator Keith give the official announcement! I was actually in the mall. I was waiting to pick up my sister from work there and passed by the local TV broadcasting place that was located in there. They had the elections showing on a few different televisions so I decided to stop and watch.

I was at work too and we definitely were watching TV because we were just killing time at work, following the election coverage. We even got to listen to McCain's gracious concession speech as well as happily looked on as Obama made his speech.

I was on my computer when I heard car horns outside, and some yelling. I went to MSN.com and saw the headlines.

I think the real question is, do you care? Right now, we don't see how big of a deal this election was. Only in the following years can we really get an idea. If Obama is horrible president then this election will go down in history as the year the country screwed up. Not a bad title I think. So again, do you really care where you were? Or do you think this is just another mistake our country and the people in it made? My opinion is not important to many but neither McCain nor Obama are fit to run the country. No body really focuses on the little things that matter to the people. No one cares when the roads are so bad that we pop tires going to work. No one cares that daycare for children costs more money then what we can make working at a full time job, especially for single parents. Views in to change, people need to be heard and recognized for having valid thoughts. Next time around lets get a worker in office. Someone that has worked in a factory or a field all their life. Let's take back our country and give the government the finger. Just my thoughts!

I can sure tell you where I was, and what I was doing. I was in my livingroom, watching the TV eating sunflower seeds, with my eyes glued to the set. My husband was there with me. The phone kept ringing off the hook, and we were both in heaven. We couldn't believe it was over sooooo fast. My husband went to bed after a while, but I stayed up, just had to see and hear more. He kept calling me to bed. When I did go up, I came down a minute later still wearing my Obama tee shirt. I took my cell phone and a camera and tried to take about 15 pictures of me in it while standing in front of our 62" TV. I don't want it said I wasn't a part of something this great. God bless, protect, and give wisdom to president elect Barack Obama.

I was at home waiting for my wife's call. She went down state to be with her sister. She actually woke me up with that call to tell me Obama won the election and that people are out on the streets cheering.
