At this age, I don't really have an income and I don't think I've ever really donated anything myself. I mean, our family has donated food to the .. food bank place. I forget what you call it. Is it a food bank? The place with the cans. Hmm. Anyway, that was the family's food, I didn't buy it. Well, I have been to New York and gave a Santa Claus guy a dollar. I've recently donated one cent to Wikipedia, I don't really have a lot of money in my Paypal right now, haha.

I don't have that much money to give donations. But i make it a habit to give tithes in the church... Or sometimes I give alms to beggars, the last time was when I was travelling back to school from our semestral break, an old woman, she was half blind, asked for some coins so I gave her from my own allowance. Its not that hard to give especially when you know it could greatly help the needy.

Well I'm sure Wikipedia appreciates your generous donation, Sheepie! ;) I don't donate much...then again I'm just a poor college kid who would like some donations for ME!!! :) I guess it's always good to give to some seasonal places, such as the Star of Hope during Thanksgiving, and the Salvation Army during Christmas, but I really should donate more, especially to things I use so often like Wikipedia! How does two cents sound, compared to your one? :)

I donate the kids clothing that they have outgrown and the toys they no longer play with all the time. I have 3 bags full of stuff right now that I need to drop off. I will probably do that sometime this week.

It's the thought that counts right? Ey, can you give me the site for that foundation? I love dogs, and I might donate one of these days when money's not so tight anymore.

Hi SeishiroX, If you arer really interested in this foundition and care about dogs and not just takening a mickey, this is the site for dog trust. www.dogtrust.org.uk these dog have been abandent because the owners can't look after tehm and some has been ill treated and neglected, dogs are part of the family but some people ill treat their dogs and its not right, that is why we in the uk have places like this and hve to depend on charity as we don't get any funding from our goverment. Thanks in advance for your kindness. Tamara

It's very nice to donate to the cause for dogs because they don't have a voice and can never take care of themselves. Plus, they're so cute!

It's a bit hard for me to donate cash, but I have donated household goods that I no longer need - clothes, books, toys. I tried to donate blood last night but because of a health issue they wouldn't let me. I have started doing the Susan G Komen for the Cure 3-day walk every year, and I raise over $2,000 for that.

Today as a matter of fact. last week my sister in law and I went through a bunch of baby clothes. What couldn't be used we put in bags. They get picked up today by our local childrens home. I do this ever other couple of months. But I guess this is the time of year when alot of people think about it.

I try to donate every year around Christmas, even if its some change to the Santa Clause guy outside the stores. I try to donate as often as I can to toys for tots and St. Judes hospital. Every year I try to donate also to the Boy Scouts. They do a can food drive, where they leave an empty bag at your door with a note saying when they will be back to pick up the canned goods. I feel really good when I can help out even if its just a little bit.

I gave to my church last week and also to the Salvation Army. I paid bills this morning and send money to Paralyzed Veterans of America. This Sunday I'll be adding some cans to the food pantry collection box. I try to give every month, mostly to the Salvation Army because about $.90 of every dollar actually goes to charity and not to administrative costs. Same with the PVA.

I have automatic donations set up to: Doctors without Borders St. Judes Hospital Every month a set amount of money is withdrawn from my bank account for these charities. I also donate books and usually money to a community literacy program. Every year I donate some of by lightly used professional clothing to a program for abused women who are restarting their lives. Every year I donate a massive amount of other clothing and household goods to Goodwill. I donate, usually money, every holiday season to a couple of different community food banks. I volunteer my time to a program for Victims of Violent Crimes and also a State sponsored outreach program in the prisons called Victim Impact. Throughout the year I usually donate to other causes, especially Special Olympics and Breat Cancer Research.

I guess I am something like you I have no money. I could go further to state that I might be considered one of the less fortunate although I might not look it. I do donate when I buy a poppy and my extra stuff goes to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. I actually wish I had a lot of money, I would like to donate to a couple of charities. I am sure Santa and Wikipedia appreciated your donations. Like in the bible the poor woman who donated a few pennies was giving more of her meager income so she was giving more than the rich people who gave a lot but would not miss it. I am not sure what the moral was but it fits here.

i donated books for the less fortunate kids last year. i am really not into charity works, since i still don't have that much budget to support others--but i tried so hard to gather books from our community. my friends helped also. the attempt was fulfilling. hope you too will try it.

hi, sheepie. whenever my husband and i receive extra, like bonus or cash gift (we received some on our wedding), we set a budget, like $60, spend it on groceries and deliver it to the home for the aged or the home for malnourished children. we have those in our place and our "favorite" is the home for the aged named after mother theresa. i think it was she who established it. $60 dollars worth of groceries is not much but the smile of the nuns who received our donations tells us that they are grateful because they really really need help. we cannot do it as much as we want though, though. we are not financially stable at this time. anyway, it's good that you thought about donating. maybe right now we can't give much but i hope someday more blessings will come. take care always, sheepie. have a nice day!

I denoted when there are some kinds of contributions. Such as several months ago there were a very serious earthquake in China. We all denoted as much as possible to them on different levels. Well, in fact the money I denoted is belong to my parents, I didn't earn money actually.
