This is a show where the participant has to first undergo a polygraphic test and is asked about 50 questions. Out of these 50 questions 21 are asked on the show in front of the audience. A couple of friends and family are invited to share the stage with the participant. The participant is asked very personal and intimate questions some of which they have probably never shared with their parents or spouse. These questions can sometimes break a family.
Do you watch this show which is being showed on Star World now? Do you think you would be able to participate in this kind of show where sometimes you may be asked a question that would ruin your marriage or make your parents or children hate you? The prize money for this show is $500,000.

I have not seen the show. I get less opportunity to watch TV, it is my kids and better half glued to TV.........and they enjoy first, my turn comes later.......LOL!
Speaking about personal matters on a public platform will make me uneasy. I'll not feel comfortable at all in such a situation, irrespective of the prize money involved.

I agree with you and it makes me wonder too that how can people reveal some very personal details for the sake of money. (I could not see the programme, when I searched, I found that our cable operator does not show the 'Star world' channel).

It sometimes makes me uncomfortable watching others reply to some questions. I do not know how people can go to the extent of taking part in such shows just for the sake of money and do not care about the pain they bring upon their family and friends in the bargain. I think if they start such a show in India one celebrity who would take part in this show would be Rakhi Sawant!

I have not watched this show Mayka…when and on what days is it aired? I would be interested you know. Regarding myself, the only reality show which I really liked was KBC…the questions were really wonderful and informative. I don’t like or watch any other reality show so the question of my participating does not arise, no matter what the prize money is. And of course, I would not risk hurting my very own people just for the sake of money.

This show is aired on Star World at 9.30 pm thrice a week. Not sure on which weekdays this programme is being aired. Happened to see it yesterday. Some of the questions asked are a bit embarassing and it is difficult for us to watch in front of the kids or our parents. Especially here in India where we are not too free with our parents and discuss all topics.

Hi! I do sometimes watch it. I wouldnt be able to go through with that ordeal. I know that I dont have those kinds of secrets that some of the contestants have on the show and I feel that my personal life is not worth the money, humiliation, embarrassment and the possibility of losing my family. I sometimes wonder how desperate the contestants are that they'd be willing to go through the whole thing and not be guaranteed at least a sufficient amount. I also wonder how the show knows about these dirty little secrets of the contestants if the contestants themselves does not know what the questions may be.
Guess its their gamble.

The secrets are revealed through a polygraphic test where some kind of medication is given to the contestant and put in a kind of semi concious state and made to talk. They are made to talk on all their experiences right from childhood. They are asked a lot of random questions and the show knows the dirtiest details through their answers. It is not always about dirty secrets. Sometimes it is about relationship with family and friends and sometimes experiences of your childhood that you do not want to reveal to the world or even think about again.

Oh so thats how they get it. OF course the show has the contestants' consent to put them in that kind of state dont they?
well, it is their risk and their decision, so goodluck to them and hope they beat their own demons with participating in the show added to the possible prize money.

Sorry mayka I havent watched the show, although, I think I have watch something similar with this and it really is very frustrating when I saw people wrecking friendships and relationships. We at least all know that we are not perfect and there comes a time when we fail our partners, families, friends, but definitely it is being kept in a dark shadows yet we doesn't want nor care to know anything about it for it definitely ruin what we have started good. The thing with these kind of shows, hurts, breaks special relationships and that I won't bother to join no matter what's the prize is !

I have watched a couple of episodes of the show.
I do not think I would be able to participate in such a show which can ruin my life/marriage even if I have nothing to be ashamed of. But there are things that I have not shared with anybody and I definitely don't want to do it in public.
Though I seem like an extrovert, I don't like sharing my personal thoughts with people. If it's something that I haven't shared with my husband/family/friend, then I would definitely hesitate in divulging it with so many people watching....whatever may be the prize money. I think relationships are more important than money.

Even though we are very frank with our spouses I dont think we would want our secrets to be open to the world. I think I would not like to see my family and friends on this show too. May be because we have certain images about them in mind and this image may just get shattered.

I watch this show as well. It is almost addicting to see how far someone would go to make money. Personally, if I had horrible secrets from my family or spouse I would never consider going on the show. No amount of money is worth losing your family or spouse! Not only could you ruin your relationships, you risk devestating someone elses feelings. And on television, not just in private.

The people who go on this show put money before the feelings of those they love and care about. But really if they cared that much for them in the first place a lot of those secrets wouldn't exist in the first place. I could never ever go on that show. Why not go on a game show that doesn't degrade you?

Sometimes there are secrets that you may share with your spouse but not with your parents or children....at times matters about your family are not revealed to the inlaws.
I too would not be comfortable attending such a show and would not like to see my close ones there too!

I do watch this show as it is on every Wednesday night here. It never ceases to amaze me how far people will go just to try to make some supposedly "easy" money! I personally would never go on a show like this because no amount of money is worth potentially ruining my relationship, friendships and integrity. It is certainly entertaining to watch though I have to admit!

This show is being telecast in India about four times a week. I feel sorry for the family members of the contestants who I think sometimes do get hurt by the truth revealed. And then sometimes after so much revelation the contestant ends up loosing the money and sometimes loosing a friend also.

i have seen that show &i like it alot. some of them are really putting themseles on a sot w/their whole family, lover, best friends or whoever. i wouldn't want to do anything tomake my children hate me but i'd like to think mine wouldn't. they have never been perfect either. lolthey are really brave or money hungry to get up there & do it. the money would be nice for sure. i bet if they split it w/some of the people they make mad all is forgiven, reckon? i might be on it i'd have to give it some thought.

This programme is being aired from America. Obviously you will have to go there to participate. I do not know whether this programme is a new one or they are showing us old episodes here in India. It is being aired on Star World at 9.30 pm thrice a week. Not sure on which days.
