Expired Coupons Help Military Families

Did you know that military families can used coupons at commisaries up to 6 months after the expiration date? I did a search on the Internet and found lots of addresses, picked one and sent a really fat envelope full of expired coupons to be used. Guess that saying is really true, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." Have you ever sent expired coupons to military families to use? Can you think of any other ways that someone that isn't of much value to you that may be of much greater value to someone else?

wow i didnt know that! thats fantastic! im always clipping the dang coupons and then forgetting them, or end up not buying the particular product that i thought for sure i would lol! what search terms did you use to find an actual address though? i want to do this! actually no..thats a pretty great way of something small that is totally useless to you..but in fact could make a difference between diapers and formula for a military family!

I think I just searched on the terms: expired coupons military families. Here is one of the URLs that I found with lots of useful addresses: www.grocerysavingtips.com/expiredgrocerycoupons.htm I sure hope I typed that write. I don't have a high enough rating yet to be allowed to copy and paste.

I really didn't know that. Where did you find these facts? And where did you find the addresses? I would love to send my coupons there rather than throwing them out. Specially if it helps someone's family. They should make a website in which you can send them to the website and they send them to the families. Or some donation site in which they send it to military sites.

This is the first I've ever heard of this program, and i think it's a really good one! What a wonderful idea, and a wonderful way to help military families. Thanks for sharing this with all of us. I will have to check and see if they do something similar to this in Canada.

I did this once before but I lost the address. Thank you so much for this. For the price of a stamp it can make a world of difference to someone who is serving our country.

I've never heard of that, but it sounds pretty cool! I don't really clip coupons though, I would never be able to keep track of that. Maybe one day I will, but to this point I have not done it. If I see coupons I don't need though, maybe I will give this a try.
