what is an EMO? how to be an EMO?

there are sites that had been so noticeable nowadays... there is this new federation who called themselves as an EMO... i really dunno how they could define themselves but as I've heard on the TV news. EMO is an abbreviation of EMOTIONAL teenagers who stuck themselves with different sad experiences and thoughts. they consider themselves as hopeless and said that they had been in their situation because they cant get over with the depression that they had...
do you know someone whose like this? how will you describe them?

MrCupid pretty much summed it up. It's not necessarily teenagers, but people in general. Emo is basically just a depressed person... song... look...
It does stand for Emotional, but mostly pertains to depression.

well basically, emo is just a root word for emotional people.. they tend to change their out look to be recognize. some think they can't express their feelings inside. so they let it out through their physical appearance
