that now that the election was over, the hatred and misrepresentation would ease off. I was so very wrong. Those people who called President-elect Obama names are still at it, wishing for dire things to happen to our country. I had hoped that we could, for once, pull in the same direction. We as Americans are is such trouble now. It's truly time to put down the fear and hatred. There is hope. We will be better. Let's get it together and make it happen. This is my wish; this is my hope.

Well I dont think all the hatred towards obama will ever end for a lot of people. Especially people like the Ku Klux Klan aka KKK who I heard on an another forum from someone that heard on the news that they bow that they would kill him before his term is up which is pretty scary and I hope that dosnt happen it would truly be sad if it did.

Well of COURSE the idiot KKK hates him; they hate ALL people who don't believe as they do--just as radical Islamists do. But in the case of the KKK, at least they're a small bunch.
And it wouldn't just be sad, but DISASTROUS for our country if Obama were assassinated. Not only would it make racial disputes turn deadly, it wouldn't stop the Left wing ANYWAY. Anyone who's in line to take Obama's place is JUST as Leftist as HE is!
Sometimes I wonder about the logical skills of people, who think assassination is feasible or even necessary!

Mcat,
You have it exactly backward. We don't "hate OR misrepresent." All we EVER did was reveal what the so-called "main stream media" REFUSED to print (& are now ADMITTING!): Obama's own record. We do NOT want our country to experience "dire things!" We're PART OF thos country, & we'd be wishing to suffer if we did that!!!
But knowing that Obama isn't a capitalist, thinks our country was bad from its inception, plans to tax us so much our great grandchildren will still be paying for his programs, & a host of other bad ideas, gives us SOUND REASONS to FEAR what he's promised to do. His promises have been tried BEFORE, & in EVERY nation where they have, the people have suffered as a result.
This isn't OPINION. It's HISTORY. Go do the research for yourself; you don't need to take MY word for it.

Maggiepie, we were NOT one country under the Bush administration. You have not been paying attention. This country was more divided during the Bush adminsitration than it was during the Civil War. Families have been divided. And it is due to the misinformation that you are spreading. The inauguration was beautiful and moving but I am sure that it make you ill. When have you ever imagined that 2 million people would be gathered, silent in awe of a program like the one that was presented. There was not one arrest. The orginal poster here does not need to do the research that you suggest, she has already done it and has knowlege of what she is talking about. You are twising information to come up with accustions that you want to make. If you do not want to beleive that GW Bush was an idiot, shot from the hip, arraogant and not too bright, that is your perrogative, he has raped this country and we will take decades to recover from what he has done.
Why else would he have had to make two speeches to try to convince us and himself that he had been a good and productive President???

What "misconceptions?"
I'm speaking of his voting record, his alignments with radicals, & his OWN WORDS in which he has PROMISED to make America a non-capitalist nation!
If you haven't caught these tapes (heck--just read HIS OWN BOOK!), go find them & see for yourself. You might start with the one in which he promised to bankrupt anyone who mines for CLEAN coal, & promises that the prices will =skyrocket.= If you live where it snows, & you can't afford to warm your home, you can thank Obama for it. Please REMEMBER that promise!
We ARE "one country," & always HAVE been. Just disagreeing with someone does NOT negate one's citizenship, & there have ALWAYS been dissenters. Obama has --along with his buddies--ALSO promised to shut up those who are loudly disagreeing through the so-called "Fairness Doctrine." And what a misnomer THAT term is! It's Orwellian in its nature!
So again, go see for yourself. Those who didn't vote for him already KNOW the truth about him,& HAVE, for YEARS.
Furthermore, if he KEEPS his campaign promises (some he CANNOT--they're impossible, especially the economic ones), soon, it will be obvious to ALL who believed him that (as his FRIENDS are now saying!), HE IS a liar, & a well-known Chicago thug. AGAIN...this is HISTORY.
As for trying to work together? That's going to be extremely hard, as he has expressed NO interest in seeing our side of things. It's up to HIM to cross the aisle. I'm not holding my breath for that.
