I started to feel bored with myLot...

After some days leaving this place and being absent from posting and making discussion, and stop logging in, I started to realize something. I started to feel bored with this place, with the discussions I found in myLot. It is not because of myLot itself made me bored with the situation here. But lately i found that there were no longer interesting discussion, there were no longer good topics to reply, and if there was a good discussion, the topic starter stop maintaining the topic so the discussion stopped just right there. I was a little bit upset and disappointed but somehow, something made me come back here again, and I didn't know what it was. That is why I started a discussion, asking if there are anyone here feeling the same, and experiencing the same. Those who feel disappointed and bored but couldn't manage to leave this place just like that. Why?

Well, occasionally this place can get pretty dull, but sometimes I just can't think of any discussions of my own to help this place move along. Then I stop for an hour or so and come back, and it normally does work.

The problem is that the discussions are getting boring. People came and made the same discussions and that's annoying. I don't like one line discussions, and I didn't see interactions between members and that's sad for a community forum.

Hi Klaudine I think its caused by why people join here. Sometime they had just making money purpose. Sometime they could learning, sharing and providing something too. I guess here you need to make a sub community forum that has member who can providing each other on two ways. So theres a mutual communication happened. And the members have a perfect result.

I thought so, kholid, and I really think that it is not a place only to earn money LOL. I think we should be able to balance the money making in this place and discuss and socialize since it is a community forum. right, kholid? I thought I have seen your post before, but I didn't remember where.

well i know i want to make payout, thats why i dont leave, but to that end, i do get bored on here sometimes because sometimes there are not very interesting discussions on here and other times there are a ton of great ones. it just depends on the day i guess.

Well, there are many of us here who often times have left here for a day or two maybe just needing a short break, but everytime I do that, I know I will be back as I miss this place when I am not here, and have personally learned a lot here, so I keep coming back. I personally cannot imagine my life without myLot, but that does not mean there will ever be a day that will be different. I find you can learn so many different things here, and often times it just depends on who comes in here to help share those thoughts and opinions with you as well. All I can say is I hope you will choose to want to stick around, and hey if it is Boring from time to time, I just leave for a short while, come back in here later, and hope for the best. Things come and go in spurts in here, so wishing you the best.

I know that I would coming back here no matter what, Krause. Just like what we all know here, that myLot is an addiction. I have gone for days for now and I think it is time to get back here again, but when I got back here, I saw nothing different. Still the one line posts, still the newbies making silly questions in the discussions list. I got bored again then

HI klaudine! There are time that I get bored on mylot, especially when I spent so much time in here. But I just switch off for a while and come back after or sometimes just few hours, I'm lucky because I have some few friends that we keep interacted to each other. Sometimes we have to keep searching to find some interesting discussions. I sometimes find myself sitting in front of the computer for an hour or maybe more and just reading some discussion and forget to make responses, lol.

Thank you for responding CJay77. I know you are active here in myLot and I believe you rarely see me here lately. I really hope that this is really a temporary syndrome, but i think it's been so long since the last time I can really spend hours in this place. I am now only spend about 1 hour and leave and that means I would never be able to reach the minimum payout this month. isn't it?

Hi klaudine. I know exactly what you mean. I haven't done much on here lately. Mainly because I can't seem to find any thing I am interested in talking about. And I can't think of any discussions to start. I'm trying to get back at it because I didn't make my payout for October and I would really like to do it for November. Have a good lotting day.

i sort of kinda know what you mean. i do not think it has been getting boring lately i just think that some days it can get boring. one day it may be dull and the next you find a lot of interesting discussions. i think it all depends on the day. i have not been on in the past few days and i am actually happy to be back, but i know what you mean how it can get boring sometimes. but i still love mylot!

I still love mylot too... but you know what I meant, right james? You also felt that there are no longer lots of interesting discussions like it used to be. People stated to make silly, meaningless discussions, made you felt like there is no use in answering and responding their discussions because you know it would lead you nowhere. Yeah... I am happy to be back as well...

yeah, it hit me several times here. but i am still here responding to your discussion. i have resigned to the fact that there will be days that i will be bored, disinterested and indifferent to the discussions here. but mylot will always be an opportunity to reach out, to earn a little, and to exchange views. it is always better than to chat with strangers and watching TV. i think no matter how disappointed and bored i am here, i know those will pass and things will be fine again.

I think you're right. After reading the responses I got from people here, I started to see something interesting. Mylotters with more than certain amount of posts or had joined this place for certain months would admit that they felt what I am feeling right now but still no one can really get out from this place. Maybe it was just a phase...

Hi there!

I don't find myself bored with mylot. Everyday I log in here and everyday I feel enthusiastic hunting for a good topic to respond to. I always keep a happy attitude whenever I am here. It makes me think well and I am able to share my views even on some discussion that aren't good. I just try to make my response better that the topic being posted. Yes, I admit there are days that I get disappointed when discussions are not good but I don't lose my interest on mylot. Ciao!

I hope I would be able to get a positive attitude like you had. I think it is not easy to maintain happy every day. It would be very nice if I could be enthusiastic everyday answering the discussions here. Thanks for encouragement, iskayz

I think maybe people just really need the extra spending money. So you force yourself to be interested even if you are having a bad day. Because it is worth it. I don't know that I am bored. I am more annoyed that I keep losing posts. It's a major pain losing 20 posts and having to frantically try to make up those posts to get back to my original post count before moving on to once again have meaningful Discussions with everybody! I should be at 1300 posts by now, it is really very disappointing! :( But I will still come here just like everybody else! It is an addiction, I guess! ;(

I am not losing posts, I lost my reputation here. LOL. I used to have blue star and it is now the yellow star over again. I am not getting mad because of it, and I found many places paid me better than this place. I am getting annoyed with this place but cannot let myself away. It is indeed an addiction.

hi klaudine. i do feel the same way. i decided to stop mylotting for a while. it was for the same reason you had (no more nice topics). then i checked my account here and next thing i know i'm posting responses again. maybe there really is something here... well for any reason at all, happy mylotting!

hello klaudine, at times we feel that mylot is a bit boring because the discussions are not quite fit to us, thus it doesnt interest us. or maybe we are feeling really indifferent so we may be thinking that discussions here are boring... :)

OOh. yeah.. 'thanks for responding' is not allowed to do here in this forum... And it is of course not something we expect from giving respond to people's discussion. We want feedback and want some good discussion which require us to interact and giving comments to each responses. But I think some people just don't get that idea of what 'discussion' means. LOL. I am so glad that we can discuss something here Nhey. :) happy posting

You right. Sometimes the discussions are just not interesting. There should be some people to make good discussions everyday. But that's not the only reason, Nhey! Sometimes i just feeling okay and answer some discussions but the topic starter just left and never give comments about my response. It is annoying for me, seemed like i was being ignored and neglected.

i agree with you klaudine, when i dont receive any response from the comments i shared i also feel that way... that's why as much as possible i would go back to the topics i've started and replied back to those who gave comments... but sometimes, too, i feel that there's someone who just want to receive comments coz when i reply and ask something or im expecting for that person to say something about my response, the person would reply back saying "thanks for the response" wherein that's not the response im expecting... i could feel that, that person just wants to have comments but not a real discussion...

i am just a new here and yes i feel bored here sometimes to think what i'm gonna right again to start a new discussion...but despite of that .. the reason why i keep coming back is.. i feel i have a friend in here..i feel most of the member is sincere.. that is why sometimes if i am here..even without discussion i still reading some experience and learn some lesson from here..

Hello Carmel, welcome and I am so glad that you enjoy being here in myLot. Indeed, this place is a very good start for people who wants to get money from posting in forum. Being in this place is fun, but then after some times you would see that there are lots of similar discussions. You would feel like you have answered the same questions like forever and that would bored you. I hope you are not getting bored, good luck and happy myLotting

I am new to MyLot but have been to other almost similar sites since 2002, ie answer or post questions and get rewarded for the trouble. These sites suffer from the same problem, where certain members would write something with the reward in mind. So we get topics which need not be discussed because the answer is obvious eg if you hate nuts then don't eat them. Obvious isn't it, unless you are really starving and there are no alternatives. On the other hand without the reward factor how many of us would regularly log in? Even though boredom sets in I think some people find it hard to leave because this is one of the places where members can exchange views and opinions in a civilised manner (though this is not always true since some people become emotional over certain topics/issues). Maybe if there is a better side these people would leave for good.

I think it is interesting if you are paid for solving problems. It is nice because you would need to interact with people, think really hard before posting anything, which no longer happening in this place. Which site is it? I think I should try something more challenging than just a forum LOL. Well.. Rosdimy, you should know that I love this place. That is why I am complaining, because I would never complain about something I don't care.

hi klaudine, I feel bore too espicially if i am always online and taking so much time in this site. Sometime i just like to search and search without posting anything for i dont see thing that will interest me. What i did to make my myself entertained is to go back to the site where i regulary visit before mylot, and look for something new in there. Sometimes i rather watched movies from you tube or update my friendster account. Then i go back in this again if see something new. Happy posting.

going out and coming back again is not always working. i would spend to much time outside the site and never come back because of getting too much fun there. i think there is something about mylot lately which made people, who usually happy being here, now bored because of it.

i feel the same.. people stated to post discussion just as simple as they can, so people would read and reply. basically mylot now is more like earning money then sharing thoughts and making friends. i dont know how long i can stand. but i'm sure not all topics are boring, some interestings. just need to search. i hope people would see mylot more than just place for gaining money

That's it, germany fan. that's exactly my point. I think it could be better if people here not merely here because of the money. I think it would be more interesting as a community forum if people here is here for the fun, for the people, for the discussion and get paid for being like that. It is annoying, seeing people here working so hard for the money without thinking about the main purpose of what a forum was made. That is why it is getting boring. I felt same here, just like talk with myself. Often I had found no result from many discussion. I think its caused by limitation of the topic knowledge. Or maybe just too hard understanding the commenter's language style. Hence people feel so confuse and doubt to make a feedback. Here I looking for useful of the discussion i.e If theres happened not just take and give, not just make any question and answer, not just making a chat. But heres must happened providing each other, so I have an new attitude and new innovating action. Again not just a lips show.

You're right, kholid78. I think it makes us bored because there is no feedback of our discussions and our responses. People were busy making money for themselves and they didn't think about people around them. It is annoying, yet, it is so logical. I thought you have made some good discussions, and I believe I have joined some of your discussions. I really hope you would get better luck here, because I think I am not LOL. Yeah, I am still full of hope, that is why I kept posting in this place though I have siad to you that I am bored with this place. Of course, I am no longer posting as much as I used to, and the earnings I got is so much lower than what I used to have. But I am not focusing myself answering topics which I really like, that helps a little. Keep posting, Ken. Good luck for us.

It is good to be able to get honest to self about the motivation why someone is still being here. I am not here because of the money anymore. I know that the rate here is quite low and there are lots of place which offer us higher rate, but it is something that I liked here but is no longer here. The communication between members, the interaction, the discussion is missing. And I really missed those so much
