so far i have only tried having 1 ISP & it works fine for me. if you have smart & you're far away from their central office (where signals come from) then definitely you'll be having a lot of problems. & on the other hand if you're near a site then lucky for you your signal will be the best & vice versa for all internet service providers. it's really hard to tell. definitely i would say globe is the best for me since i never had a problem with it & no worse isp coz as i've said i never have tried using others service. keep mylotting!

Yes I understand as well the distance but its not just me I encountered,
I also have a friend from a different location and it is not just the
connection but also the customer service as well as technical support.
Tech support especially on field is NOT always available

i have called in their hotline only once when the problem is really on the line & that rep taught could own me with what he is saying but what he is doing was totally wrong. so i advised him that i have done all of his instructions & just want a ticket # for a technician dispatch. he was still insisting to troubleshoot, as i know that it is a protocol i have again advised that i did what he is saying. as much as possible i don't want to be rude to him but as i was pissed off with his attitude i already said what i should have not said, i said then that i was a tech agent before for an ISP so i know what is to be done next. that was the time that he listened. after how many minutes of telling the problem that was the only time he listened. i never called after that... so i guess i share the same experience only that i didn't allow their agent to go over me.

I never tried using Globe, PLDT and any other ISP aside from Smart Bro. Smart is very good and the best for me. Although I have tried to be disconnected sometimes, it wasn't too bad at all.

PLDT owns Smart I think, so most likely the network is the same?
I maybe wrong

PLDT is a sister company of smart, when i asked PLDT for an internet service they told us that our barangay did not have the "wires/station whatever" yet capable for dsl, so they recommended Smart Bro, so far Smart Bro speeds indeed depends on your location and the population of subscribers of the smart bro isp's in your area. All our neighbors are smart bro subscribers, after they subscribed, our internet became slower by by time. DSL's I think are better because they use "direct lines" or in other words you don't share the wireless signals like smart bro with other people using the same ISP's.(at least thats how i understand it) BTW the gauge of a fast internet is how fast youtube loads or how fast you can dload torrents as i have observed.

i started with globelines. their 995php bundle. at first, i was amazed at how their service so way way beyond by my expectations but then, months after, it gets slower and slower. though their technical services is no question but it didn't solve my problem. i decided to had it disconnected - as well as the landline.
right now, we're on the process of having a PLDT connection. =) let's see how this goes.

hi!
I cant say who is the best, for I myself is also searching for a provider. But as they say, globe is worst especially to customer service. But based on experience of my mom, digitel is not good also. they have been complaining on something and its been a month now, there is still no action

I have to say that Globelines is one of the worst ISP ever and has poor customer service. They have not really improved their services. I have high regards with PLDT and SMART ISPs.

Right now PLDT is very very slow. We are using Globe DSL right now and its very fast in the office. At home I use Globe DSL and I have no problem using the internet. The download speed is fast. Actually their are no good ISP here in Cebu.
