I read every word just like reading a book. But, then again, you already knew I'm strange!!!

If you weren't strange, I would not like you!! LOL
Hey, since we both have a 9, does that make us 18?
LOL

Oh, I see!!
LOL
It is amazing that I was a ten for a long time and as soon as I disagreed with a few people, politically, or should I say, they disagreed with me, the star went to nine. I think it is so funny!! Do they think that the number means anything? Does it?
I guess if someone has a low number, we should ban them, lol, or we could have a contest to see how many people we can annoy to get to a one!! LOL
Have a good night, I am off to bed.
Hugs!

I did a really good job didn't I??? My star is a 10 disguised as a 9 so nobody will want to attack it.

This is an uncanny coincidence that you posted a discussion concerning this nanajanet because I only saw a reference to the very same thing on a science related program on Saturday! lol. It was very interesting to learn how little the human brain needs to acknowledge in order to understand. Maybe this is why "text speak" is so popular!
What is even more interesting, is that I seem to be able to read paragraphs like the one you have shared above, FASTER than I would read it if it was in standard text!

The brain is still something they know very little about. They keep finding new things that it can do. I remember watching a show where a person had some sort of brain injury or ailment that caused seizures. They removed that portion of the brain, and other parts took over, with some therapy, and the seizures stopped. Amazing!

I have seen this before. It has to do with the way people read. We do not read a word letter by letter..instead our brain processes the shape of the word..making this paragraph understandable, and also allows people to learn speed reading.

I was just having this discussion tonight with someone. I read very fast and because I do, I do not take the time to read the entire word, so this was easy for me.

Oh. I did manage to read it even if this paragraph managed to twist my eyes.

I could read it. I used to take speed reading, not the Evelyn Woods course, but a cheaper one, er, free, and found it was quite easy. but even though I can understand it, it is no excuse for anyone to spell atrociously.

Haha
I read that faster and with more ease than most things around here.
I was already pretty sure of my strange mind. Thanks for the proof, nanajanet.

I had received a forwarded mail of similar nature some time back.It said that so long the first and last letters are in place one can read it without much effort. I know I am not dyslexic, but I too can read it and if you permit me I would like to type it here what I read........
"If you can read this, you have a strange mind too"( Hahaha..I do..)
"Can you read this too? Only 55 out of 100 can.I couldn't believe that I could understand what I was reading. The phenomenal power of the human mind, according to a research at Cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters are,the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. this is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. Amazing huh? Yeah and I always thought spelling was important! If you can read this forward it."

Yep I read it as fast as lightning . It is really kind of strange that I can read such writings as fast as I can I needn't have to jumble it to understand it. It is real cool though.

I can read this! I was diagnosed dyslexic when I was younger in school. My son is also dyslexic and this is how we see things. They say that 50 out of 100 people can read this and I can believe that this is because we all have a touch of dyslexia. Oh, and the fact that all the beginning and ending letters are where they are supposed to be. I had my 7 year old--who struggles with reading try and read this and he got to the 4th sentence. I still don't know how I overcame dyslexia but this was funny. He understood what he was seeing better than I did and I have the same disorder. Great topic!

I think,if a sentence correctly expressses the idea than each and every word need not to be understood. It depands on the skill of the writer to make understand
his or her idea to the readers.
