Getting Unbearable Lately!

Grandpa Bob, I am trying to help with the discussion end of things. I am starting a few more. I skip the one liner discussions, and if I have a friend that is clearly in violation of the TOS and I think they will take the hint, I send them a PM about it. I am tired or under the weather and have not responded to as many discussions. Too scattered with things right now. I will think on some discussion topics and see what I can come up with.

Oh please don't take me off of your list of friends. I know I don't start discussions but once in a blue moon but I do try to respond to those that I get or that I have something to reply back. Yes, I have gotten some of those one liners myself. Most of the time I just delete the email when I see it is just a one liner.

I'm sorry, I am trying... Yes, I have seen some, especially this morning, I think someone is getting sick of mylot of having a bad day..Won't go into details, but if this kind of posting is going to continue, mylot will ban them...

Not only do I get one liners, but there are just some crazy discussions. And some of the discussion questions you can't even understand. I don't expect everyone here to speak perfect English, but they need to have enough command of it that they can make sense in their discussions! I received one other day that had me throwing up my hands. I don't think anyone could understand what this person was saying. I don't have nearly as many friends as you do, Bob, but only a handful ever post a discussion. And only a very few of them post meaningful discussions. I have become very selective in approving a friend anymore. It has to be someone that I know enjoys being here, posting good comments and discussions. Wish I had not been so quick to approve some I did approve at first, but I was new and didn't know any better. I quickly learned. I have about eight right now wanting to be approved and I hate to deny them, but I can't approve them. A few of them haven't posted anything since asking for approval maybe a couple months ago.

maybe it is just like anything else.. comes and goes in spurts???? I sometimes have a hard time picking things that I would like to respond to also. Hang in there is will get better again,, I am so sure!

I know exactly what you mean. I am thinking of maybe slowing my posts here as well. There are discussions that are one liner and doesn't make any sense at all. And I dont see other members posting here.

It has been like that all the time and I think that is why it is not so active here on our Friends Side any more, People have just got fed up with it all now I spend only a little time on here now I am at another Place where it is a lot better and better monitored A lot of People I know from here are there to It is sad as I used to love coming here Hugs to you Grandpa Bob

I hope that you do not leave!! Just do like you say and weed out the ones that do not respond and only keep the valued friends. Good luck!

LOL--well you'll never see one liner discussions from me. If anything I'm the opposite and tend to be long winded at times. Nope I really never "clean" up my friends list. So many of my friends have "disappeared" but I keep them in the hopes that maybe eventually they'll pop up. I do wonder why I get friend requests from people then they never respond to me though..weird no?

THere really hasn't been alot of discussions to respond to like in the past. So I know what you are talking about. I have also cleaned out some of my friends....some from when I began here and still have low numbers....I wonder also why some of the best have left. Also I an not as aware as you about violations.

I noticed that in the past couple of days that some people are putting out useless one or two liners just to post. It is almost like they looked up a bunch of questions and just posted them like, "What is your favorite dog? What do you like about them?" What the....?! I like discussions that are thought provoking and can get a good debate going, even if we disagree.

Hi GRANDPA BOB, i agree with you, I was only thinking about that as some of my friend here is bring silly discussions back that they did last mont just before payout time and it is just one liner questions and I am really getting fed up with it, I want a good quality discussions not what I like for breakfast. There is no doubt that myLot has been crazy lately! I would never do 1 line responses, however, one day, I had 20 posts deleted through NO fault of my own, so I had NO CHOICE but to try to make up my post count to get it back to where it had originally been by making as many 3 or so line posts as possible as fast as possible. I am sorry, but Post Count means something to me, and losing 20 posts due to bitter vendettas from people who don't like me is ridicilious, so, I WILL make up that post count, even if it means a few minutes of making 3 line responses in "fluff" interests. And then, once I am back to where I SHOULD be, I go right back to making quality posts in interesting Discussions. So, that is me. Happy myLotting! :) Dan is love! =)

Am i violating your guidelines?

I can usually find discussions on here to reply to. I'm not here as much as you are though. I love seeing your discussions and replying to them. I have friends on my friends list that never respond to my discussions too. I still leave them on there and maybe in time they will respond to something they find interesting.

it is true there are so many one liners. I have also seen this these days. people are more interested in posting and think they can earn much. even some very old mylotters post one liners always.

I know what you mean, Grandpa Bob. There aren't nearly the variety of topics from friends that there used to be. It seems many have left, and others have lost interest. I truly admire you for your tenacity here, and you never seem at a loss, as to what kind of discussions to start. It can be hard at times though, as sometimes people don't respond to the ones that are lengthy either. Maybe it's just the choice of topics. Anyway, I don't think I've ever started any 'actual' one liners. I sure hope not. I've been here for over two years too, so will continue to stick around. Take care.

Hi Grandpa Bob, I am not receiving too many one liners as discussions lately myself in my inbox but due to being extra busy am a bit overwhelmed by the amount discussions in my inbox that I cannot physically get round to answering. This can be just as frustrating but I do try to answer at least one of any of my friends discussions if they have posted a few and that makes me feel that I am not totally neglecting. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks due to new shift patterns yet again I should find more time to be able to. I think we all get a bit disillusioned from time to time and you have been here a lot longer than most so have also probably experienced feelingthis way before too. Huggles. Ellie :D

I know what you mean - there have been a lot of "milestone" discussions (which I never minded all that much, really - I don't think it's bad to celebrate something you're proud of) and one line responses. And, I know I have been remiss in my responses to many, but not because I don't bother, but I'm also doing other things and it's just hard to keep up sometimes. Plus, not every discussion is something that falls under that "piques" my interest category. And, some aren't directed at me at all (franky, I don't shave at all, I pluck! ). But, what I've been bothered with lately is a slue of newbies and/or inactives who suddenly, out of the blue, decide they want to be my friend. They either have ZERO points or they haven't been active for over 90 days, yet all of a sudden, I'm their choice of friend? Why? How? I even got one on MySpace just today - some doof who said how much he liked my eyes and wanted a relationship, etc etc. Just signed up today, no other friends, and the only eyes on my profile are those of my CAT!!! So, yeah, there are things that bug me at times, too, and not just on myLot.

Hi webeishere. I know what you mean. I see a lot of discussions with only a few words. And I'm having trouble finding anything worth responding to. I haven't done much on here lately and am having a hard time making my payout. I didn't make it last month and was hoping to make it this month but it's hard with those kind of discussions. I guess everyone else is like me, can't think of anything to talk about. LOL.
