Snow/Ice covered lights

Hi Bob wow, its nice to know u got Snow and 3 inches Not Bad. and sure its lovely pics and it shows that how cold night was that ice freeze of ON Lights. And sure not much will be such passionate about photography. Take care and Enjoy

Snow is something I rarely have the chance to photograph, but maybe that is why cold weather pictures appeal to me. thanks Grandpa Bob.

My husband bought me a digital camera for Christmas last year and I have been taking a lot of pictures of my grandkids. Your lights look really nice with the snow.

Yes last year I took a picture of my beautiful Elm in the back all covered with frost...and good thing I did. It got Dutch Elms disease this year and monday they had to take it down.......I cried as I watched! But am so glad I got many pictures of it.

We haven't gotten much snow here for a couple years now so I don't really have the chance to photograph it. My favorite things to take pictures of are my daughters.

I don't take pictures but I love snow covered mountains, i love snow on trees, and snow castles.

That's a cool shot Grandpa Bob. I do take a few pictures of my son playing in the snow for his grandparents. Most of the pictures I take are of him anyway :)

I have not had my digital camera that long and still getting used to it and trying to find things to take pictures of. I do think snow is so pretty and I love how an ice storm makes things look, breath taking.

the picture you have taken is very simple, but very evocative of christmas, with the lights and the snow. i think its a wonderful picture. this is my favourite time of year. i havent yet got my christmas decorations up yet. but it won't be long. i really do love decorating the tree and getting all the lights and decorations up. i have some lovely pix of our front garden and our cul de sac covered in snow from about 2 years ago. this april last i took a pic from my back door , of my greenhouse and garden covered with snow. Some other beautiful pictures we took in Autumn at Alton Towers and they are lovely with all the different colours of the leaves and bark of the trees. But to be truthful , i take dozens of pictures of my dog and my 5 cats. i havent got any grandchildren

That looks really awesome! Here in North Carolina we don't get a lot of snow. Especially not in November! Just last week it was in the 70s! I would love to travel some place cold and snowy to take pictures!

Yes, I love taking pictures of Christmas lights on a house with snow all around its just beautiful. I like the way the lights shine on the snow on the ground, it looks really bright, and pretty, with the lights shining thru the windows on the house, and you know its warm and cozy inside.

Anytime you feel you have too much snow...please send some to Oklahoma. Being a former New Englander, I really miss having a white Christmas, usually all we get is ice...and LOTS of it. Love your lights, and how pretty they are with the snow on them. It's really helps with the holiday spirit, doesn't it?

That looks really cool. Can not believe that it is snowing there. We are still have 70 degree weather here in northern California. Something wrong with the weather this year.

Nice picture! Thanks for sharing. I love taking pictures of the snow and ice in the wintertime and I usually do. Now that I am able to post pictures, (I think), I will be able to post some that I take. I have quite a few from last year and I love putting them on my computer and using them as wallpaper. I'm looking forward to doing that again this year.

My favorite thing to photograph is of course my kids. We are lucky we don't have any ice right now suppose to even be in the 60's today but really windy I guess. Pictures of the snow and ice can make beautiful pictures though too.

Nice picture. Very neat to look at. I have some new friends who recently moved here from Minnesota. So it seems your winter has started, huh? 3 inches? How long will that last? Is it early enough in the season that it will go away soon? I live in New York, and we have gotten our share of ice storms here. We had one once that had some people without power for up to 3 weeks. I was one of the lucky ones..I was only dark for a week. Plus I had a gas stove, so I could actually cook all the food from by fridge that was spoiling. My neighbors and I had some pot luck meals.

I love to take pictures of ice and snow. Unfortunately I live in GA, so it is few and far between. But we had an ice storm here about 3 years ago and I got some really beautiful pictures of the frozen trees.
