Do you enjoy Christmas?

Do you enjoy Christmas and the run up to it or do you find it stressful? Are you getting into the festive spirit or just getting worked-up? I loved Christmas when I was a kid, but I have found the last few Christmases a bit depressing. It's not just the cost and hard work, but also because I feel there is so much pressure to enjoy yourself and be happy. Sometimes I feel that I am on the outside looking in at everyone else having a great time, but I feel I just can't join in. I am sure that there are lots of people who feel this way. What do you think?

I enjoyed Christmas only in my childhood and that too because when we are children we have this ability of imagining any thing we want.
We lived in our fantasy world..
But now as we know that there is not Santa clause, no body leaves gifts for you.
I kind of feel Christmas blues every year now.
I mean the Christmas day is obviously not a usual day it comes once in a year but the thing nothing unusual happens with me!
No fun, no party.. in fact nothing even closer to it.
As I am my father's only daughter he just can't let me go out.
So I never had any fun on Christmas.
I don't even feel decorating my house for Christmas.
So the best part I love in Christmas is participating in the Christmas mass at mid night!!
And as I am the choir member so I have a good time!!
But after that just getting back to bed and happy Christmas n Goodnight.
That was my Christmas..

I love christmas its the best time of the year. I wish everyday to be christmas. I love the significance of christmas not only getting but giving as well. This holiday season we should try to give to people who r in need of special things that they cant buy. Epsecially for the kids they are the ones that really wnat a nice christmas with family and friends. I wish we had more to give cuz i sure would cuz everyone needs something or someone at this time of the year. Dont u need someone this time of year?

I love Christmas. Yes, it is stressful. But I love all the decorations and watching my kids get to excited about Santa Claus. We take them every year to see Christmas lights and they love that. I was never really into Christmas until my kids were born. Now it's all about them and I love it. I really get into buying them things LOL

For the past couple of years money has been so tight that I just felt worked up and stressed. I couldn't enjoy it. This year I started my shopping early so I am just about finished. Plus, my husband seems to be more into the spirit this year. I think it is because our daughter is finally big enough to enjoy it and that is making him enjoy it more too. Whatever the reason, I am thankful.

I always make it a point to enjoy the Christmas holidays because it is the only time of the year when I get to have a long break from work, and get tons of presents (even from people I barely know), get together with family and friends, and get a lot of sleep.
If you can't feel the so-called Christmas spirit, don't feel guilty. You are not "obliged" to be happier and more generous during Christmastime. But there's no harm in trying to enjoy it. I believe the holiday spirit is just a state of mind.

I enjoy Christmas a lot not because it is a holiday and a vacation but this is the day that me and my family are together again. Me, my wife and kids go to our ancestral house in the province to spend our Christmas vacation. We do this every year and its always fun and exciting. And I am looking forward in spending our vacation again in our ancestral house in the province this Christmas.

I enjoy Christmas and despise it at the same time! How ironic right? I do feel the same way as you, but only when I am visiting my boyfriend's family. It is almost like I have to be fake to enjoy myself. His family is completely differently from mine, down to the way they do things, the way they speak, how they treat the children in the family, ect. When I am with my family, I am able to truly enjoy myself.
The weeks leading up to Christmas are pure stress!!! Christmas shopping is HORRIBLE!!! Then on top of that getting everything else ready, it is so much stress. But it is all worth it when I am able to see my daughter (who is 2) and my brother (who is 8) open their presents.

Yes I do enjoy Christmas but I'm going to be home alone, once again. Ugh! It's not stressful though, it's good to spend time with family members (if they're there for you) and just to have fun. It's all about having a good time I think. I feel you though, sometimes I see other people laughing and having fun and there I am standing in the cold rain and snow feeling sad.

I loved it when I was a kid, but I have grown up and do not really like it anymore. It is all about who can spend the most money and buy the biggest gift. I have tried to raise my kids to where they know the real reason for Christmas and not focus on gifts. They get stuff all year so Christmas does not mean too much to them for gifts and stuff, they are like me-- it is about God and family. We always go to granmas for a huge dinner and watching Christmas movies.

I looove christmas! It's the best time of my year! Even when I spent last year's christmas without my family I still didn't feel alone. Yes, it was kind of a bummer not having to spend the holidays with your familiy after spending every year of it with them, but during that time friends counted as family for me. Maybe I'll get to that point where I'd be dreading the holidays but right now I just want to cherish every moment of it while I'm still enjoying it. The only thing I kind of avoid during this season is the shopping. Everybdy wants a gift, of course, so the budget needs to be stretched. I don't know how to do that, so I dont enjoy that part that much.
