this morning i went for an ultrasound. i'm 18 weeks pregnant with identical twins. we found out today that i'm having girls. we are very excited about that, especially since we already have a son. they told us that they are growing nicely and everything looks normal. the one baby's heartbeat is 150 and the other one is 153. i have to now go for ultrasounds every 2 weeks. i'm okay with that though...i want to see the babies as much as i can.

Congratulations on the news that you are going to have identical twin girls. That is excellent considering you already have a boy. Having an scan every 2 weeks will mean you will feel so happy seeing your babies so often. I hope that you will think of some lovely names for the little girls.

Those are both lovely names and so well done for making that choice so soon. I am sure you are so looking forward to having your twin baby girls. My friend has a four year old called Anna and two year old non-identical twin girls called Evie and Martha.

That is so sweet! I think I would have liked to have twins if it was my first. I hope you get along wonderfully. Is your pregnancy high risk except for just being twins? Any name ideas yet? I always liked naming my girls, it's such an exciting time with lots of things to look forward to! How do you know their identical? Are they sharing a placenta? Well anyhoo, congradulations again! They are beautiful!

the only high risk so far is that they are twins. the doctor said i'm having the highest risk of twins though because they are sharing a sac and have both cords that could wrap around their necks. that is why i have to go for so many ultrasounds...to monitor this. the doctor said he knows they are identical because they are sharing a sac and placenta. yes, we picked out names already... they are going to be Elianna and Isabella.

Congratulations! Knowing about your pregnancy is really wonderful and learning that you are bearing twins is more exciting. I just gave birth almost three weeks ago and I had several ultrasounds. It's alright for you to have your ultrasound every 2 weeks because I think you really want to ensure the condition of your twins. Me too is excited as you are when I was pregnant. I advise you to have a 3d4d ultrasound during your 8th month of pregnancy so you can see the features of your twins. I never thought that one can know the gender of their baby as early as 18 weeks. Goodluck to you! Stay happy and take care!

i can't have the 3d4d scan done at 8 months because the doctor is pulling the babies out at 32 weeks (just a little after 7 months)

That's cool and I'm very happy for you. Both of you must be excited and very happy over the news. I would too if I'm in your shoes. You must be busy looking up for suitable names for them now. Anyway, good luck and get enough rest. Remember you are now eating for three not one so happy eating.

Wow! I am delighted to hear the news of your ultrasound scan. To have identical twin girls will be amazing for you and considering you already have a son it is great you will soon have daughters as well. It is so fortunate that you are having such regular ultrasound scans so that you will be able to see your baby girls as every fortnight. I had pictures from my ultrasound scan and looked at it often until I met my baby son when he was born. I hope that you will have a healthy and comfortable rest of your pregnancy and I am sure you can't wait for your twins to be born. That will be such happy news and I am looking forward to hearing about it. Take care and congratulations.

How wonderful to be blessed with two twin girls. I can't wait till my husband and I have children. We started trying in the beginning of the year but nothing. So we stopped so I can lose some weight. I figured maybe that's what's holding us back from having some kids of are own.
Also I another reason I can't wait is that in my family genes I'm not next one in line to have twins. I think it will be a handful but I'm just excited to be a mother I quess.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twins are a blast!! Especially twin girls! :) I have 2 year old fraternal twin daughters.
Time will go by a lot faster than you realize, take LOTS of belly pictures and video of the girls kicking, believe me, you'll want to be able to see it all later.
I wish you a very LONG full term pregnancy & two 6lb babies!
