i dont buy any antivirus from outside and i just download it from internet and use it and this how i am able to manage from about two years and i am not finding any problem with it, i have tried kaspersy, bullguard , AVG, and also bit defender.
i felt the bullguard and kaspersy are much more better and i use only this two whenever required. we get a trial period for bullguard and you can use that and in kasperky you can find it for a longer time also and this is also good.
but with avg i felt more of difficulties if i want to install something new it wasnt supporting it and with bit defender my laptop processing speed had become very slow and i was really fed up it was just two days i tried bit defender and next we had removed that.
i hope my information will help you.

I think the best anti-virus is the one you pay for, meaning if you download an anti-virus which says is free then you might have to ask yourself about the protection, especially if that anti-virus has all the security features
For me if you go for free anti-virus i would recommend you take free trials, instead of downloading an anti-virus which is totally free and claim to protect you at all times, i mean what do they gain from the protection they give you?
I am currently on Windows live onecare, is a free 4 months trial and offer all the security you may want, but like i said is a trial version of which i'll ahve to pay for at the end of my 4 months term.
I think all this Anti-virus claiming to offer us protection for us at no extra cost are the one wjo will be hiting us with virus, and if not there is something they want on our systems. how can i give you protection against all this scary things happening on the net for free?
I think CA is one of the reliable anti-virus programs, is just that it will always annoy you with its unfinish messages and i'm not sure if it has anti-spyware

At present, we are having number of Anti-virus softwares to protect your computers. But, as per my experience KASPERSKY antivirus is the superlative in protecting the viruses. since, KASPERSKY having the laboratory with the experts team working on 24x7 basis and they send the updates in every half an hour. so, this will be useful to protect the computers from the new born viruses.
But, we should be more careful in the kaspersky file protection settings. Automatic updates in the kaspersky should be kept on, other wise updating programme cannot be work more efficiently.
If we go for the other software which can reliable is the AVAST antivirus. It is more reliable and efficient antivirus software. so, you can also try it.
